Meow! I’m so excited to bring you my very first weekly animal news update! Mommy is so busy keeping up with politics, conspiracy, and supernatural stories and I thought that the animal news was being neglected.   So, I put my investigative whiskers to work and sniffed out some of my favorite stories of the past few weeks!  Enjoy!

British Bengal Cat Solves Missing Person Case:  The Sun reports that a Bengal cat named Oscar began to act strangely after a night out on the prowl.   Unnerved by Oscar’s behavior, his owner decided to follow him outside to see if something was wrong.   Oscar guided his owner to a stream nearby where the body of 75-year-old John Bellamy was found.  He’d been missing for two weeks.  (tramadol buy cheap)

Sea Monster Carcass Makes Waves:  A weird creature washed ashore on a beach east of Tauranga in New Zealand, and was captured on a video uploaded to You Tube.  What followed was a flurry of press all over Britain speculating as to what the badly decomposed monster could be.  The scientific consensus is that the big beached bugger was at one time an orca, or Killer Whale.  The internets are not convinced.  (buy cheap papers)

Marsupial in Lancashire:  Motorists reported a weird wallaby looking critter crossing the road in Lancashire, UK… a long way from its indigenous Australian stomping grounds.  The article on BBC News (linked below) includes a photo of the kangaroo/wallaby snapped by those on the scene.  My mommy reported in a past article that there have been reports all over North America of  mysterious kangaroo sightings far from their natural home.  (Read her article here:  The Elusive American Kangaroo?)  (Read more…)

African Clawed Frog Spreads Deadly Amphibian Fungus:  A deadly fungus that only attacks amphibians has scientists using words like apocalyptic, catastrophic, devastating.  Apparently the fungus is already responsible for nearly wiping out some species including California’s mountain yellow-legged frog.  The African Clawed frog is likely to blame, as it was at one time used all over the world as a sort of “pregnancy test”.  If a pregnant woman’s urine was dripped on the frog, it would cause the frog to lay eggs. WEIRD! (Read more…)

Woman Encounters Live Tiger in the Bathroom:  When Jenna Krehbiel took a restroom break during the Shrine Circus in Salina, Kansas… she had no idea that the big cat show would follow her into the stall.  “I went in to use the bathroom, and a lady came in to get her daughter out and said there was a tiger loose,” Krehbiel said. “I didn’t know it was in the bathroom, and I walked in the (open) door, which closed right after I had walked in. I saw the tiger; it was at most two feet in front of me, and I turned around calmly and walked back toward the door. Someone opened the door and said get out.”  While the close encounter of the cat kind was a “scary ordeal” for Krehbiel, she notes that her 3 year old daughter’s only question was whether the tiger had washed its hands before exiting the bathroom.  (Read more…)
