And lo… as Ohio rivers turn red as blood, you shall know that the end is nigh.
Well, not really. But the Huron River near Norwalk, Ohio did run red on Wednesday, much to the shock of local residents.
According to the Norwalk Reflector: …the red substance wasn’t blood, and it wasn’t the work of Almighty God. Norwalk firefighters suspect American Coating Specialist took equipment to Norwalk Waste Materials Co. and the bio-degradable dye leaked into the waste water.
Local officials claim the red dye is not dangerous, and should not have an environmental impact (beyond making water run red).
