Northern Lights Display “Alien” Face in the Sky Over Iceland
Photographer Iurie Belegurschi captured an eerie sight while snapping photos of the aurora borealis (Northern Lights) over the Reykjanes peninsula of Iceland.
Belegurschi didn’t notice the strange face when he was taking the photos. He said: “I didn’t see the alien face during shooting, but when I came home I checked my photographs on the computer and I saw it! It’s unbelievable, I couldn’t believe my eyes.”
While some are speculating everything from alien contact to a government trial of holographic technology ala cause and effect essay divorce, likely what we’re witnessing is a phenomena known as pareidolia, which Dictionary.com defines as, “the imagined perception of a pattern or meaning where it does not actually exist, as in considering the moon to have human features.”
