Natalina’s Annual Epic Birthday Extravaganza

http://iofga.org/Hey hey it’s my birthday, baby! It is also the Pope’s birthday.  Old Frank turns 78 today, while I am celebrating turning 37 years young.  Today is also the traditional first day of the Saturnalia festival of ancient Rome… so you might want to be careful with your Birthday wishes to me… you might become an accidental pagan!!  Dun dun DUNNNNNN!

Anyway, this has been quite a year with lots of ups and downs.  I won’t focus on the negative however, because God has pulled me through every storm and I know He is faithful to continue to do so.  So truly, my cup runneth over.

Each year here on Extraordinary Intelligence, I use my birthday as a day to reflect upon the previous year and share a few highlights.  Which is a nicer way of saying that I am exercising my birthday girl privilege of posting whatever the heck I want!

I’ve really been amazed this year to watch this site and the accompanying podcast Beyond Extraordinary grow in audience and scope.    I am so blessed to be able to do what I love, and it is all for His glory.  Praise the Lord!!

I have no plans of slowing or stopping.. in fact, expect to see lots of new stuffs from old Nat in 2015! Get ready!!

Meanwhile, let’s look back on the year a little bit.  I had quite a hectic summer full of lots of traveling. The reason for the travel was not particularly pleasant, but I managed to make it into a mini-adventure as I traveled across the plains of North Dakota.  I had to make the trip quite a number of times, so I decided that on each pass down 1-94… I’d stop at some place that I normally breeze past.  Here are a few pics from my Nodak journey!

This pioneer era church is near Jamestown, ND. You can actually go inside and see the old pews and simple but beautiful interior. When I went inside, there was a family touring the place. One of the little boys in the group went up to the pulpit and delivered a little “sermon” that consisted of “Jesus loves me! Jesus loves you! Jesus loves my mommy!” And really…. that sums it up quite nicely 🙂

Also in Jamestown, I stopped to visit Dakota Thunder.. the world’s largest Bison. *Pssst… he’s not real!*

This is Sandy... the world's largest Sandhill crane, located in Steel, ND.

Also this year, my jewelry business has become a larger focus of my energy. I’ve been trying to make some extra income and therefore the jewelry has been crankin’ out!  One of my favorite recent pieces is the one pictured below.  It’s a long necklace, and I made some of the elements out of the pages of a 1917 German hymnal.  If you like this necklace… it’s available HERE!!

What else was Natalina up to this year??? Oh! I was honored to be asked by my good buddy Andy Jennings from the amazing band Dissident Prophet to contribute some viola music to a track or two on their upcoming album! I will for SURE keep you posted when that comes out. They’re a wonderful band with an awesome message.

Of course, no Birthday post of mine is complete without a random photo of the king of the castle… Mr. Solomon!!

Gosh, I think that’s it for now.  I’ll be covering the Year in Review more extensively on my Beyond Extraordinary 2014 Retrospective, coming in a couple of weeks. Whoooopie!!!

And per usual, I’ll wrap up my annual birthday post with the following clip. I post it every year, and will continue to do so… because I can.  God bless you all! Thank you for being one of the greatest parts of the year! Your wonderful support for this ministry has been nothing short of Extraordinary!
