In a recent ruling, the City of Minneapolis has decided to pay $165,000 to Zombies.

The payout was approved by the Minneapolis City Council after a Federal Lawsuit was filed by seven people who were arrested and jailed in 2006 for wandering the downtown shopping district dressed as zombies, in protest of “mindless” consumerism.

On August 10, something unusual appeared in the sky above St. Paul.  According to witnesses, a series of unexplainable lights appeared and hovered over the city’s east side that Monday night, and stayed visible until Tuesday morning.

At the turn of the Century, the eccentric Otto family took up residence in the famous Artist’s House Compound in Key West, Florida.   Mr. and Mrs. Otto had a son named Robert Eugene Otto, or “Gene”, as he was called.  The elder Ottos were known to be very stern people, and rumor has it, they were harsh with their servants.

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on the surface is not much different than any other late night talk show.  But what sets Fallon apart, in my opinion, is the type of humor he uses.   I find that Fallon doesn’t shy away super nerdy references, and this is what endears him to me.  From math jokes to grammar gags, Fallon’s sense of dweeby humor is a breath of fresh air.  Particularly for nerdy {more. . .)

The Federal Bureau of Investigation isn’t too keen on websites posting their official seal as an image.  So protective are they of their insignia, that they’ve officially threatened legal action against Wikipedia.

Wikipedia, the titan of online encyclopedias, has a high resolution picture of the official seal prominently featured on its FBI info page, and according to the New York Times, the Bureau’s  deputy general counsel sent a letter to the Wiki people, demanding its removal, “because it facilitates both deliberate {more. . .)

I’ve noticed that in recent months, there has been a renewed interest in Ancient Astronaut theories, once relegated to the tinfoil hat wearing crowd. (In other words, MY people!)   With the History Channel’s repeated exploration of the topic, a groundswell of fascination has been buzzing through the air.

Surely there is no clearer sign that something is amiss than when the ginormous  statue of Jesus Christ at the Solid Rock Church has been smote. Smited? Smitten? Anyway, its gone.

The six story (62 ft) statue in Monroe, Ohio was struck by lightning on Monday, igniting a huge fire, and eventually leaving nothing behind but the charred metal skeletal remains of what was once affectionately named “Touchdown Jesus”;  so nicknamed because of the giant arms of the statue reaching skyward.
