DemoCRIPS and ReBLOODlicans: Jesse Ventura Makes Waves on The View

One of my favorite people in the world was on The View today, and he did not disappoint.

Jesse Ventura took his unique brand of individualism to The View today to promote his new book, Clicking Here.  Challenging the status quo by encouraging voters NOT to vote for candidates from either of the two major parties, Ventura instead claimed that the only votes that aren’t completely wasted are those for third party candidates.  His 2012 vote will go to Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.

Full ArticleMr. Ventura points out that to vote along party lines is to play into the game that has been designed to cater to special interests rather than the betterment of the people.  Both liberal and conservative thinkers are tricked into believing that they’ve been given a choice, when in reality they are simply doing as they are told by those in charge.  The person who is listed as the candidate for either party is beholden to the demands of their party, making their personal ideals mute.  Only a truly independent third party candidate can make the claim that they are running based on personal conviction rather than the platform designed by the hierarchy of their “gang”.

Ventura warns of the dangerous precedent set by the Supreme Court allowing corporations to be seen as individuals, opening the door for much deeper corruption.  It is now possible that foreign interests could influence our elections simply by forming a corporation and pouring money and influence into the candidate that best suits their demands.

Jesse even hints that he might throw his hat into the national race in 2016.  Before you scoff, keep in mind that this is a man who knows a thing or two about how to win a major election as an independent candidate with a shoestring budget.  Ventura was the first Independent candidate to ever win a State election.   He did so with a mere $300,000 against the mainstream machine of his opponents who spent millions.  Don’t let that pro-wrestler voice and Jimi Hendrix shirt fool you… Jesse Ventura is a smart and innovative man who not only talks about challenging the political status quo, he’s actually done it.
