I love aspartame.  I consume mass quantities of it on a daily basis.  I crave aspartame.  I am a junkie.  My thirst for aspartame has made it possible for manufacturers of the sweet substance to justify their supply.  I am an aspartame pusher by proxy.  I am seduced by its zero calorie decadence, and its  convenient availability.  I love aspartame, but it does not love me.

In the Sierra de la Macarena, Colombia, there lies a breathtaking anomaly of nature’s unrelenting beauty.  The Caño Cristales is a river unlike any other in the world. Due to unbelievable algae blooms, this river seems to carry all of the colors of the rainbow, and is truly a wonder to behold.

In this edition, we had an opportunity to talk to the Founder of The Truth Syndicate,  who goes by the moniker of  SynisterStylez.

In general, most films released by Tinseltown are meant to pacify the masses… keep us in a state of calm submission, and perhaps even steer the populace toward certain ends predetermined by movie studios, governments, big business, or a combination of all of these.  Propaganda in the movie industry is nothing new.

With that said, sometimes a studio will bravely release a film with a deeper message.  One that terrifies with its brutal reality and prophetic warning… and perhaps inspires us to recognize the world {more. . .)

Popular culture has programmed most of us to think of one thing when we imagine alien encounters.  Generally, we imagine the classic “Grey” type of alien.  Grey or white skin, triangular head, large black eyes, a tiny mouth, and spindly body.  These are the aliens of  “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, “Fire in the Sky”, “Communion”, and the recent “The Fourth Kind”.

Project MK-ULTRA, or MKULTRA, was the code name for a covert CIA mind-control and chemical interrogation research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence.  The project was an official undertaking by the U.S. Government, and began tests in the 1950s.  Citizens of both the United States and Canada were subjected to these horrific tests.

When I first heard that a giant statue of the Egyptian God of Death was being erected next to Bluecifer (or as I call him, the Blue Stallion of DOOM) at the Denver International Airport, I thought…. The long awaited, much anticipated web show Conspiracy Chicks has finally debuted on AboveTopSecret.com.  So, if you are a fan of Conspiracies and/or chicks…. this is the show for you!

I believe that they did quite well for their first episode, and with a few tweaks to the format and a gradually increasing comfort level on the part of the “chicks”, I think it will be one to follow indeed.

I’ve noticed that in recent months, there has been a renewed interest in Ancient Astronaut theories, once relegated to the tinfoil hat wearing crowd. (In other words, MY people!)   With the History Channel’s repeated exploration of the topic, a groundswell of fascination has been buzzing through the air.

Recently I posed a question to a friend on this very topic.  I wondered if people like Zecharia Sitchin (Earth Chronicles Series) and Erich von Däniken (Chariots of the Gods) felt vindicated by {more. . .)

Surely there is no clearer sign that something is amiss than when the ginormous  statue of Jesus Christ at the Solid Rock Church has been smote. Smited? Smitten? Anyway, its gone.

The six story (62 ft) statue in Monroe, Ohio was struck by lightning on Monday, igniting a huge fire, and eventually leaving nothing behind but the charred metal skeletal remains of what was once affectionately named “Touchdown Jesus”;  so nicknamed because of the giant arms of the statue reaching skyward.

Another year, another meeting of the Shadow Government.  That’s right, it’s Bilderberg {more. . .)

The tragic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has had me in such emotional distress.  My heart has been through the gamut.  I fluctuate from intense anger to utter sorrow.  I’ve read all of the news stories and the endless blogs, and I’ve wanted to write more myself.. but what to say that hasn’t already been said?

You may recall the pictures that were floating around the Internet in 2008 of an unidentified animal that washed ashore in Montauk, New York.  The cryptic creature was dubbed the Montauk Monster, and has yet to be identified. If you need a refresher, take a look here:  Montauk-Monster.Com

Now, there is buzz that a new type of “monster” has surfaced.  This time it came from a lake in the delightfully named Kitchenuhmaykoosib, Ontario, Canada.

Ok, so most people thought Waterworld was a crappy movie (although this little lady has a soft spot for that overblown, waterlogged mess of a film). But it turns out that Kevin Costner just might be an Oceanic hero in real life too!

Costner and his business partners were in New Orleans to unveil a machine that uses centrifugal force to extract oil from water… creating 97% pure water from the liquid once polluted with oil.  Seems crazy that someone else…. I don’t know… {more. . .)

April 2010 was National Poetry Month.  Well, those who know Natalina are well aware that she likes to be fashionably late… (read: procrastination).   However, as one who dabbles a bit in poetry and prose, I have a keen appreciation for a talented writer.  Further, I am overjoyed when I come upon a writer with the level of talent that I am about to share with you all.
