Awolnation – Sail: Cool Song, Strange Symbolism

The other day a coworker introduced me to the song click for source by  It had the neatest sound to it, and I instantly liked it.  I knew my husband would like it, too.

Today, I had my husband come into the office so he could listen to the song.  I brought it up on YouTube and discovered that Awolnation had released a video for click for source .  We sat down and watched.  Instantly, the bizarre imagery was striking.

The video is complete with “illuminati” symbols and alien abduction, which seems to be a running theme these days in the entertainment industry.  Lyrically, the song is quite disquieting as well.

This is how I show my love
I made it in my mind because
I blame it on my A.D.D. baby

This is how an angel cries
I blame it on my own sick pride
Blame it on my A.D.D. baby

Maybe I should cry for help
Maybe I should kill myself
Blame it on my A.D.D. baby

Maybe I’m a different breed
Maybe I’m not listening
So blame it on my A.D.D. baby

Have a look at the video and let me know what you think… it is a really catchy song with a very interesting vibe.  But what should we make of the imagery from the video?  Is this just creative film making, or is there a deeper message here?  In light of the recent industry trend toward abduction, trans-humanism, and apathy… not to mention the purveyance of so many occultic/illuminatic  symbols within modern music, should we be taking a closer look at Awolnation?  Or is Natalina just being paranoid…. again?  You decide.  Video below.
