Mother Nature Cries A River of Tears

September 4, 2009 by admin

If this doesn’t melt your cold heart, nothing will.

In Norway, on the Austfonna ice cap, located on Nordaustlandet in the Svalbard archipelago, the ice is melting.  Rising sea levels due to early ice melt are causing great concern to scientists around the globe.

Marine photographer and environmental lecturer Michael Nolan captured the stunning picture of the disappearing glacier, and the image that turned up is at once awe inspiring and heartbreaking.

This image clearly evokes the feeling of a face weeping rivers of tears. {more. . .)

Extraordinary Saturday Videos: Reptilians

Goodness gracious, me oh my oh golly gee!   Is it SATURDAY already?? Whoopsiedoodles!  Thursday came and went without so much as a reminder that I had some videos to post!  So it looks like we’re going to have some Saturday videos instead.  And luckily, my mad Photoshoppin’ skillz enabled me to cleverly adjust my normal Extraordinary Thursday Videos graphic, so that the casual observer would have no idea whatsoever that we normally do this on another day.  Bow down to meeeeee!

Since it is Slitherin’ Saturday, {more. . .)

Extraordinary Thursday Videos: Skinwalker Ranch

August 20, 2009 by admin
Filed under Extraordinary Videos, Paranormal, The Unexplained

Raise your hand if you saw the dreadfully disappointing movie Skinwalkers. I was so pumped to see the movie because I’ve been an avid follower of the mystery of Skinwalker Ranch, located in northeastern Utah. At this ranch, strange sightings and happenings have been reported for over 50 years.  Sadly, the movie sucked the big one.

The real legend of the place is far more intriguing than the silly movie.  According to the Utes, a local Native American tribe,  an entity called the Skinwalker inhabits the land {more. . .)

Extraordinary Thursday Videos: Classic Fantasy Trailers

August 13, 2009 by admin
Filed under Extraordinary Videos, Fantasy, Previews & Trailers

For this week’s installment of Thursday vids, I’m doing something a little different.  Rather than education and information, today I’m just going to self indulgently share a few trailers from some of my favorite movies ever!  Not surprisingly, most of them are fantasy movies, and they’re some of the greats.  Plus, I love watching old movie trailers.  Enjoy! (Btw, I’m sure I’m forgetting some here..perhaps I’ll have to do a second post at some point.)

Renegade Angels: “Legion” Red Band Trailer

I’m not in the movie reviewing or previewing business.  I leave that to the experts.  But every so often a film comes along that looks like it might appeal to my readers, and Legion appears to be one of those movies.

According to the official web site:

When God loses Faith in Mankind, He sends His legion of Angels to bring on the Apocalypse.  Humanity’s only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner and the Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany).

I’d never heard of this {more. . .)

Extraordinary Thursday Videos: In Search Of…

I’ve always been strange.  It didn’t just happen over night.  When I was a little girl, I didn’t really like to play with dolls, I wasn’t much into dress-up or make-up.  While other children rushed home from school to watch cartoons, I cruised home as quickly as my short little legs would take me, so that I could plop down and tune in to my absolute favorite show, In Search Of…, narrated by Leonard Nimoy.

In Search Of… was a documentary series that explored all things weird {more. . .)

New Ghostbusters Trailer (sort of…)

August 2, 2009 by admin
Filed under Extraordinary Videos, Funny Videos, Paranormal

“Do you believe in UFOs, astral projections, mental telepathy, ESP, clairvoyance, spirit photography, telekinetic movement, full trance mediums, the Loch Ness monster and the theory of Atlantis?” The words of Janine from Ghostbusters could easily be the tag line for Extraordinary Intelligence!

Well, it’s not exactly a new trailer, per se.

John Doe of JDMFilmReviews.com has posted a great video that imagines what Ghostbusters would have been like had it been made in the 1950’s with a cast of familiar faces from that era.

Leaked Rorschach Blots Cause Controversy

July 30, 2009 by admin

Most everyone knows a little bit about the Rorschach Test.  A series of inkblots is shown to a patient who must then interpret what the obscure blot of ink on paper looks like to them.  There are no right answers, but patients are evaluated on their perception of the images.

Recently, an uproar has arisen in the medical community concerning the leaking of the entire series of 10 inkblots into the public domain.  Apparently, the blots were uploaded in June to Wikipedia by a skeptical emergency {more. . .)

Extraordinary Thursday Video Post: Anton LaVey and Church of Satan

Natalina doesn’t shy away from controversy!  This topic has been requested by a number of readers, and in my opinion is very interesting.  The late Anton LaVey, High Priest of The Church of Satan as well as the author of The Satanic Bible, is a fascinating character in Occult culture and pop culture.  And the word “character” is apt when describing him.

The man was a master of propaganda, and his product was not Satanism.  It was Anton LaVey.  Mixed in with his perverse Black Masses {more. . .)

Extraordinary Thursday Videos: Drunk Religion?

July 16, 2009 by admin

This stuff just blows my mind.  Have you ever heard of the Toronto Blessing?  Well, in 1994, the Toronto Airport Vineyard Christian Fellowship (now known as the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship)  held a revival where a strange phenomena occurred.  The pastor and the congregation began to act as though they were drunk, and it was considered a blessing and a miracle. This type of charismatic evangelical experience became well known in fundamentalist circles, and reports of healings, transformations, and conversions have taken place during such {more. . .)

Extraordinary Friday Video Post: Happy Birthday Nikola Tesla

Doubtless you were reduced to a puddle of tears yesterday when I neglected to do my weekly Extraordinary Thursday Video Post.  Well, I apologize for rocking your world like this, but I actually had a reason for waiting the extra day.  Luckily, I was able to make a clever and subtle change to the above graphic.

Extraordinary Thursday Videos: 2012 Doomsday

Does the Mayan Calendar predict the end of the world???

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past couple of years, you’ve heard about the 2012 prophesy.  Many cultures and religious traditions seem to be in agreement that something… earth changing is on the horizon, and 2012 seems to be ground zero for this transformation.

Some say that the world is going to end in December of the year 2012.  Others say it will be a time of change and enlightenment.  What is certain is {more. . .)

Extraordinary Thursday Videos: Does Satan Exist?

Tonight’s video post was inspired by my most recent post titled Meet the Demons: Demystifying Demonology.  I received a number of emails regarding that entry that spanned from praise for laying out such detail to accusations that I was attempting to conjure demons into people’s homes.  It is a hot button topic that inspired such a mixed reaction, that I decided to post this Nightline debate from March 2009 which asks the question, “Does Satan Exist”?  It includes people from all sides of the debate {more. . .)
