About Nat

black and white nat and solHey sweetiehearts! Thank you for visiting my site!

I began my blogging career ten years ago focusing on an odd combination of celebrity gossip and social commentary, along with political editorializing (on various other sites that either no longer exist or to which I no longer contribute). I was very much involved with progressive politics and worldy pursuits.  I even worked as a precinct captain for the local Democrat party (prior to waking up about the sinister dog and pony show that is political theater.) As a devotee to various New Age practices with a keen interest in the paranormal and unexplained, I launched my website in early 2008. The site was designed as a virtual cabinet of curiosities wherein I explored all things esoteric and arcane.  My political views shifted to a more Independent/Libertarian bent and with this in mind I continued to blog occasionally about national and global politics.

After a long battle with crippling anxiety and panic attacks, I had a transformative experience that changed my heart as I gave my life to Jesus Christ. Extraordinary Intelligence continued to thrive, but now explored the same topics via a Biblical worldview.  I rarely cover politics now except from the standpoint that it is all bread and circus.

I later launched my podcast called Beyond Extraordinary Radio, in which I interview a wide variety of guests and discuss a broad range of topics. Although I still occasionally blog, the radio show has become my primary focus.  I am working on future projects including the launch of a Youtube channel where I may explore the mysterious world of Vlogging!

A little bit o’ trivia:  I started playing violin at about age 7 or 8 and later learned to play the viola.  I played my viola in the high school orchestra, in a traveling performing troupe called Strolling Strings (which gave me the opportunity to play both on a stage at Disneyland and on the Capital steps in Washington, D.C.) I continued to play at the college level in a small chamber orchestra.  I love to sing!  My favorite genres are slow jazzy tunes and old school gospel, as well as some bluegrass.  I’m also a big fan of showtunes! I am the proud mommy to the coolest cat in the world, King Solomon, aka The Solomonster.

My prayer is that somehow the content on this website or in my podcasts blesses you.  I feel very called to do what I’m doing, and your support has been amazing.  I love you all so much!

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.” – 1 John 4:7
