It tends to ease my bones... what this means and where it will lead I do not know. But there are many healing things of the earth, why shouldn't a gemstone be one of them? Why is quartz used so extensively in electronic equipment, timepieces and other devices? It is a miraculous material and powerful energy conductor. The energy produced by certain stones is measurable, as I discovered when trying to use my cell phone in a crystal shop. Another thing is that I will read about the benefits of the stone/crystal after I have gotten it and will usually find that stone fit the need at the time. If I can give feelings about a stone not having read any documentation about it, and later find they are verifiable, then it is likely that the claims that crystals have healing properties may be true. Then again, there have been studies that have recorded unique "vibrations" given off by different types of stones, so who knows. Perhaps these vibrations do react with different aspects of human physiology. Most mainstream researchers who've studied gemstone therapy and noted positive results feel that it has more to do with the way the brain reacts to colors than the stone's vibrations. I've never personally tried working with gems. With as often as I played with that big Amethyst as a kid, you'd think I would have developed crazy psychic powers by now! A gemstone is a rock - albeit a pretty one - and I can't for the life of me believe that they could possibly have any power to do anything but look pretty and make a nice ornament.
