Whoopsiedoodles!
On October 19, a CBS affiliate in Arizona ran a voting results graphic on screen during an airing of The People’s Court.
The Phoenix station KPHO showed a graphic declaring Obama the November 6 Presidential winner with 99% of precincts reporting. The image ran for 17 seconds before being removed.
Obama is listed as having won 43% of the popular vote with Romney taking 40%. The remaining 17% of the vote obviously went to someone else.
Is the fix in?
Not so says Michele Wallace of KPHO. She issued the following statement to the Daily Caller:
“On Friday October 19th during a test of KPHO- CBS 5’s election returns software we inadvertently aired a test graphic for about 15 seconds in an episode of Peoples Court,” Wallace said. “The mistake was caught quickly and taken off the screen. With the election about 2 weeks away, the TV station routinely tests its equipment to ensure our viewers have the very latest’s results on election night. We regret the error and apologize to any viewer who was confused by the mistake.”
