May 21, 2011: Judgement Day? Open Discussion

**Update:  With only 7 days left until Camping’s “Rapture” date, I’ve written a follow up article that I’d love you to take a look at here: Further Observations on Harold Camping and the May 21 Cult***

Recently, there has been a lot of buzz coming from a select but loud group of Evangelicals that God’s Judgement Day, including the Rapture, is GOING to happen on May 21, 2011.  In most cases, I don’t like to question the faith or beliefs of anyone.  Faith is a personal matter.  With that said, I am very concerned about the possible consequences of this particular movement, so I’m going to say my piece, and then I welcome everyone to enter the discussion in the comments section below.

Harold Camping is a radio evangelist that has the distinction of having hosted the longest running radio call-in show in the U.S.  For 50 years, Camping has inspired a devout audience to study the Bible, and to follow his lead in deciphering God’s intended message.

Aside from his controversial proclamation that the End Times begin on May 21, 2011, Camping has made other declarations that have turned heads.  For instance, he claims that all current churches are apostate.  God has left the Church, and that true believers should no longer attend services or maintain membership.  Apparently, God abandoned earthly churches when the so called “Church Age” ended in 1994, which is incidentally the date he previously claimed the world would end.  More on that later.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”—2nd Peter 2:1

It is interesting first to contemplate what the Bible declares with regard to false prophets.  Peter tells us to be wary of them.  That they will try to lead the flock astray. (I’d like to interrupt myself right here to say that I am no Biblical scholar, and this is not meant to be a Bible study.  I am discussing the things that I’ve gleaned from my life as a Reverend’s Granddaughter, and through my own study.  That said, I am not infallible. Clearly.)  So what makes a follower of Camping so certain, especially given his well documented failed prophesies, that HE is not a false prophet?

That’s tricky.  Faith is a marvelous thing… but in my view Faith, in anything at all, must be tempered with reason.  If you believe in God, then you believe he bestowed upon you the grey matter that resides in your skull, so you should use it, right?  But sadly, for many people Faith lies in the same bed with fear.  Fear that if they don’t get it just right, they’ll incur the wrath of their merciful God, and fall from his Grace.  So they cling to the things that they are told by those that they view as more learned than they, lest they be cast away by their God.  But is that Biblical?

“[W]hen a prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah has not spoken: the prophet has spoken it presumptuously, you need not be afraid of him” (Dt. 18:22).

History if rife with examples of End Times predictions that never came to pass.  A few examples:

Saint Martin of Tours, a student of Hilary, was convinced that the end would happen sometime before 400 CE.

A Roman priest and theologian in the second and third centuries, predicted Christ would return in 500 CE, based on the dimensions of Noah’s ark.

January 1, 1000 was believed by many many Christians to be the End of Days.  It is said that in the days leading up to New Year’s Eve, people were diligently doing good deeds.  I imagine the poor ate well in that last week.  Many Christians donated their belongings to the Church.  It is documented that after the first of the year in 1000 CE, many people who’d given away all of their money and possessions ended up committing suicide.  It is also well documented that the Church did not return the gracious gifts that followers had donated.

Pope Innocent III added 666 years onto the date the Islam was founded, and came up with 1284 CE as the date of Judgement.

The Old Believers in Russia believed that the end of the world would occur in 1669. 20 thousand burned themselves to death between 1669 and 1690 to protect themselves from the Antichrist.

Joseph Smith, founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, is quoted as saying “I prophesy in the name of the Lord God, and let it be written–the Son of Man will not come in the clouds of heaven till I am eighty-five years old.”  Well, Mr. Smith didn’t reach 85 years old, because he was killed by an angry mob many years before that… but he WOULD have been 85 in 1890.

William Miller, founder of the Millerite movement, began a trend of naming not only a year, but a specific date for Christ’s return.  According to Miller (who amassed a legion of followers, said the world would end on March 21, 1843.

March 21, 1843 came and went, so Miller revised his declaration (sound familiar?).  October 22, 1844 was the new date.  His devoted followers gave away their possessions in preparation for the End of Time, only to be again let down.  So many were the believers in this prophesy, it has gone down in History with the name The Great Disappointment . It is important to note that some took their own lives after the date passed.

In the 16th century, world renowned prophet Mother Shipton (who still has believers to this day) stated quite plainly, “…The world to an end shall come; in eighteen hundred and eighty-one.

One of the most notorious groups for predicting end time dates is The Jehovah’s Witnesses or Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. Collectively under their leaders, they predicted the End Times for 1914, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1975 and 1994.

Of course, who can forget the Apocalypse panic that arose as the year 2000 approached.

And now we have Harold Camping.  His initial prophesy of 1994 was immortalized in the following book: 1994? Click on the link and you can purchase it for as little as 29 cents as a souvenir.  Only use Super Saver Shipping if you’re ordering it before May.  Obvious reasons.  When asked about this book, you would think that there would be elaborate explanations from the Camping Camp, such as incorrect mathematics, but Camping claims that he was right, just that the date was referring to the end of the Church Age, not the world.

Others in his camp have a far more simplistic answer to the charge of false prophesy.  Chris McCann of Family Radio was recently on Coast to Coast Am with George Noory.  The interview was fascinating.  When asked about the 1994 prediction, McCann basically said, and I’m paraphrasing, “The book was published with a question mark.  The new date has an exclamation point.”   A snibbit of the show can be heard here… McCann’s above mentioned answer can be heard at about the 7:45 mark:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM1wNDPRqBc

Whenever we see people so incredibly certain about the impending Apocalypse, or the return of their savior on a specific date, or any other miraculous manifestation that has been prophesied by their leader, the resulting  aftermath of the failed prophesy and/or the false prophet tends to be quite grisly.   One only needs to look at Heaven’s Gate, Order of the Solar Temple, and People’s Temple (Jonestown) to know that people will do anything if the indoctrination is just right.  Including taking their own lives.  But people don’t only kill themselves to please God.  In this case, I’m more worried about people’s reactions if their prophesy in left unfulfilled.

Because their faith is so strong, and because leaders of the movement (Camping, McCann, et al) have said that the date is certain, I fear what will happen to the broken spirits of believers if the prediction doesn’t come to pass.  McCann says in the above interview, when asked how he will feel if the date doesn’t manifest a rapture of souls, that he will not even entertain such a notion, because it is an impossibility.  It WILL happen. No question.  Believe or perish.  Camping espouses the same all or nothing attitude when asked about a potential “day after”.  This is how he responds:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9acwNHKvoo

Dismissing the caller’s question as “Utter nonsense” and saying that “It IS going to happen!” in a defensive tone, is just the type of thing that feeds into the fears of the faithful.  Camping proclaims in his prophesy that those who are not saved will not be Raptured, and that there will be a worldwide earthquake the likes of which we’ve never seen, devastating the earth and resulting in a “horror story” for those left behind.  What choice do the “true believers” have but to give themselves over utterly to the notion that the question of the May 21 date is not up for debate.

The above clip brings up another disturbing question.  What will happen to all of those listeners who have donated large sums of money to the Camping ministry, in the belief that their money is meaningless as the end is nigh?  As pointed out in the preceding list of past failed end times prophesies, religious leaders aren’t generally quick to issue refunds to overzealous followers who donated their useless paper to the cause.

So, IF there is a day after, and no Rapture has occurred, effectively creating a new “Day of Disappointment” for modern times, will we see a rash of suicides or other such horrors from those who are filled with despair over their now uncertain future?  As we know, such things are not unprecedented.  Or will Camping subdue his flock with promises of a new date that is set in stone.

Ultimately, what we need to do is look to Camping’s provided evidence for his conclusions.  He claims that he pulled this date straight from scripture.  That the Bible has an internal calendar that, when studied properly, will lead one to May 21, 2011 as the Final Judgement.  Using the birth of Adam as the start date, and following a genealogical timeline, Camping says that the conclusion is without question.

But of that day and hour knoweth no one, not even the angels of heaven, neither the Son, but the Father only. – Matthew 24:36

So how does Camping account for the above verse from Matthew?  He says that the Bible used to mean that, but that it no longer stands, based on the fact his interpretation of an “unsealing” of knowledge, that now negates some parts of the Bible, and opens the rest up to be understood for End Times date calculation.  He bases this on a passage from  Daniel 12:4 and 9:  But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. And He said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

IF the above passage truly means that previously sealed knowledge from the Bible is now suddenly available to humanity (read: Harold Camping) and that with this new revelation many other parts of the Bible are effectively outdated, then why oh why did I find the following statement on FamilyRadio.com in Camping’s own words on The First Principles of Bible Study:

A conclusion that allows us to set aside certain passages because they seem to be associated with a cultural problem of long ago and therefore is said to have no application for our lives today, effectively, destroys the authority of the Bible…. The question at issue is: Are we ready to be obedient to the authority of the Bible? If we are not prepared to be obedient, we can destroy the authority of the Bible by such stratagems as the decision that a passage had meaning only for the culture of the day in which it was written. We must never lose sight of the fact that the whole Bible is the Word of God and is therefore to be obeyed.

It seems that Camping is contradicting himself here, does it not?  Because if he truly believes that the whole Bible is the Word of God and is therefore to be obeyed, then surely he must also believe the following is true:

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book” Revelation 22:18

My hope for this article is to shed some light on the prophesy that seems to be sweeping the nation.  Just like in 1844, more and more people are being turned onto Family Radio’s prophesy of Doomsday.  And for those who are donating all that they have so that Camping and his cohorts can pepper the globe with billboards and advertisements, what if Doomsday never comes?  Family Radio has surely spent millions of dollars on this campaign.  McCann told George Noory that there are so many billboards, bus benches, etc accross the Nation that he cannot begin to fathom how many there are, and that there are over 50 countries that now have billboards.

Camping may be a decent man, or he may be a charlatan.  He may believe in his heart that these revelations are true, or he may be trying to keep his own ministry relevant and lucrative with these predictions.  That’s not really the point.  The point is that we should all be wary of anyone who conducts himself like a modern day oracle, and has a track record of 0 -1.  Be rational.  Use the functioning brain that God gave you, and while you try to decipher what God’s intent is during your Bible studies, perhaps it would be advisable to turn a bit of that discernment on to Camping himself.

Please share your insights in the comments section.  All opinions are welcome.

I’m going to be bold here, very bold. In fact, I’m going to be so bold as to say that Harold Camping has never read the Bible in his life. Why do I say that? Because, so often, what I hear him say has NO bearing on what the Bible says.

I can list at least 20 reasons why Harold Camping is wrong about this latest prediction. In fact, it is EMBARRASSINGLY evident to any Christian with an ELEMENTARY understanding of Christian eschatology why Camping cannot possibly be right. Folks, read the Bible for yourself. Revelation is NOT hard to grasp in a basic sense. Quit listening to these pre-tribbers. They are false teachers.

There is NO WAY that Camping’s prediction can be correct. For starters, Camping has NO CLUE what the anniversary date of the flood is. He can’t possibly know that 7000 years have past. Secondly, it doesn’t matter anyway, because there is nothing in scripture indicating this anniversary date is significant to the second coming.

I’ve been listening to Harold Camping for a number of years on his radio program. I use him as an example to my Bible Study class of what bad theology is – we frequently examine his interpretation of things against what the Bible says, to ferret out the problematic areas. It helps us to be better expositors of what the Bible SAYS, versus Harold Camping who is an expositor of his own doctrine.

Sorry, I had to laugh :) why waste your money on some crackpot (sorry I believe him to be a crackpot, just as much as his apparent belief in the end ;) who’s looking for a world tour or what have you. If its the end, so what, if you were true to your beliefs or a good person (and if you believe in life after death) then I’m sure you’ll get it. Me on the other hand, I’m not religious, but even if I was I’m hoping there’s not, I really don’t want to live forever, at one point I’d be bored. So if it ends, too bad :P if it doesn’t at least I didn’t give away what will help me continue to live until I do eventually die.
Ah well and I also don’t advise anyone to read the bible like this crackpot, I mean don’t get me wrong -ts a good book, good ideas etc. I’m not aying anything against it, but its been mistranslated, edited for the churches gain and is mostly metaphorical. Anyhow that’s just my beliefs tho :P

    7. Colette says:

This is the moment in human history to be compassionate toward ourselves and everyone in our sphere of influence. This is the time to open our hearts completely. I find my own heart contracting when I consider Harold Camping’s prediction. Not only is it impossible for him to know the date based on the date of the flood, it goes against his own scriptures that say no one knows the day but the Father. So he is usurping God’s own words and replacing them with his own “knowledge.”

Fear is a dangerous tool to wield, and once again Harold Camping is using it brilliantly. 1994 came and went, as will May 21, 2011, and I bet people will continue to support this man and his ministry. I am anxious for May 22 and his new apologetics. If he could talk his way out of 1994′s failed prophecy, and still gather followers, he can certainly do it again.

    8. natalina says:

Thanks for your input guys. I felt compelled to write this article in hopes that for some it would shed light on the dangers of these kinds of “prophesies”… especially with regard to such stern indoctrination. Believe or perish, if you will. Whatever one believes about the Bible, it is important to note that Camping DOES contradict himself AND the Bible in his teachings, and that should stand out as a giant red flag for his followers who I presume believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Instead, it seems that while they proclaim to believe that, they conduct themselves in a manner more like Harold Camping is capable of dismissing and changing and adding to that Word. Something that their Bible strictly warns against.

    9. Mat says:

Firstly there is no god,the bible is written by man not god .God is something invented by man.(Religion the opium of the masses)The sooner mankind dumps all religon the sooner our species will progress.Religion is the root of all evil and suffering on this planet.

    10. Drew says:

Both my Great Grand Father and Great Grand Mother were Pentecostal preachers. They listened to Oral Roberts and Billy Graham and BOTH said Camping was a joke. That he had not a fundamental grasp of the Bible.

    11. natalina says:

Drew, we have something in common. As I stated in the article, my Grandfather was a Lutheran Minister. I don’t know that he was aware of Camping, but I’m sure if had lived to hear this May 21 stuff, he’d have considered it nonsense as well.

    12. Jerry says:

Hi Everyone. Someone sent me Camping’s website article on his prediction and in just a few minutes I saw several basic errors in his calculations and his line of thinking. Even though we are close, he should not be setting a date because he does not know, he is just guessing. He has the 7,000 years thing all scrambled. I have been teaching the bible for over 30 years and his calculations are way off base. There are several things that have to take place before the rapture comes about and they have not happened yet. We’re close, but I’m fairly positive that his May date is just a wee bit early. By the way MAT, there is a God. You do not believe in him at the moment but you will believe in him sometime in the near future. By the way, he has a Son named Jesus Christ and he died for your sins so that you can have eternal life. Trust in Jesus and you can be saved.

    13. Jonathan says:

Jerry, well said. You’ve mentioned a KEY fact about the calendar of events of the end times. One that so many pretribbers ignore or don’t know because they don’t study the Bible.

Namely, the doctrine of imminent return is false, because there are definite temporal events that MUST transpire before Jesus returns. In fact, we are warned not to be deceived in these matters. Thus, we can definitively know that the rapture will not occur tomorrow, or next week either. The rapture is ALWAYS at least seven years away, starting from the approximate time the antichrist is revealed to the world.

And in light of that, we don’t know for certain if the Seventh Kingdom has come yet. It must come, prior to the appearance of the Eighth King, who is the Antichrist.

Christianity is in trouble today because of Biblical illiteracy. Much of the theological insights of the classic era have been lost or set aside.

    14. RevJWWhiteJr says:

May 21, 2011 will come and go without including the event of the Rapture, or the beginning of the end.

(This vile world is going to get a lot worse yet.)

Mat !! I am praying for you, because I love you. Seek the truth, please. Everything… life itself, prophecy and fulfillment of the scripture (Israel), our entire universe (the creation of the stars themselves, how many are there? how many seconds in time?), and our world in general, proclaims the majesty of the creator. All mentioned came from somewhere, not nothing, as our science maintains. The odds of all we know to be a simple cosmic accident? are astronomically impossible. Even our own science has a barrier of impossibility, but will not impute it to our own origins and existance.

As for Camping, I had never heard of him or his ministry, until this. As I said, May 21, 2011 will pass, at least without the event of The Rapture.

Umuekempi, I live and work in the Delta State although Oyibo and American born. I am a Warri man. Your silliness is like Camping’s bad JuJu it keeps good people down. Nigerians and all Africans are locked in poverty because they jumped from the dugout canoe and hut to the flat screen and 3 cell phones in a generation or two? And both extremes exist side by side as does technology and superstition. Everyone who is educated leaves, the rest buy, or get appointed twisted degrees and accolades from inferior and corrupt imitation universities. I know because I have hired more engineers and people with masters that cannot read than anywhere on the planet I have worked? I am a Christian lets promote the bible as the word of God and real education and real science based on truths and shut these frauds and fakers that lead people into darkness down where ever they are! I have never been ashamed to match my bible to scientific fact( not theories). May 21, 2011 good a day as any we are suppose to leave ready anyway whats the big deal how about tomorrow, I feel like it is tomorrow maybe or maybe 6 years from tomorrow not sure?

Don’t you just live when people tell you stuff you don’t want to hear? This is in regards to both sides, theology and atheology. I believe there is a higher power, this higher power just hasn’t shown itself to me. This should not be taken out of context.

Back on topic: Anyone who promotes mass hysteria to make a quick buck is evil in my book.

    17. Shaan says:

what is really a definition of a false prophet? it someone who say that God told me this and that outside the Bible. but if you happen to read a verse in the Bible and miss understand it, it does make you a false prophe untill you make your miss understanding a religion. comping in his 1994 question mark, did not say that he was sure that the world was ending then because it was he wans’t going to write in the same book that 2011 is likely to be the date and wasn’t going to put a question mark. but I guess that was done to have you all people who don’t hear from the Bible go even futher from the Bible. The Bible says that no man knows the day or the hour ( however, the Bible doesn’t say any where that no body can never know the day or the hour. infact read Daniel 12: verses 4, 5 , 8,9, 10 where God told Daniel that He was going to reveale more info about the End in the last day. we are learning many truth today that churches don’t even that we could know including time. I hope that you guys go to http://www.familyradio.com and read about what we are God is revealing in these last day. remember they will be no exicuses after May 21, 2011 we can now cry to God for mercy when it is still time of grace.

    18. Moh says:

Only god knows when the end of the world would be, i personally feel it is some way near but no human can predict the exact date and if someone did it is definitely bullshit. All these earthquakes and tsunamis are indicators to the end of the world but still can’t say if it is on a certain date, so we can say it might be near.

    19. Moh says:

it can be on the day that GOD will choose. and the people who says or belief that there is no GOD they are surely demented, just watch how Ur eyes are created or any nature that is living and think who did create it with this perfectness?? who can?? ask your self and wonder!!

    20. Jonathan says:

      Shaan,

You have absolutely no reason to believe Camping knows what he is talking about, because I don’t believe you know it from the Bible. I don’t believe you’ve read it, researched it or carefully weighed the alternatives. I think you just took Camping at his word.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that the end of the world will not be in May. In fact, I will tell you that the end of the world is AT LEAST 7 years from tomorrow morning. And not a bit sooner.

But I’m not going to tell you WHY I say this. I want you to crack open a Bible and read it for yourself. Go ahead. Take a few years. You’ve got plenty of time to find out for yourself.

    23. Dennis says:

It is whether you believe the Bible is the word of God. I do.

When Jesus was asked of the end of the world, he said Not To Look at the quakes as it will happen at the end times. He said to look to Noah. The bible gave the date of Noah entering his Ark, and it was his 600th birthday.

Then we should see how the bible said about the 7th date. The end of the seventh thousand is in May. If the world continues to the eight thousand year, I give up.

It shall not be the eight thousand years. It shall end in next to no time now. It is the 7th thousand years.

    24. Jonathan says:

Dennis, the NT scripture you reference concerning Noah has no relation to dates, or Noah’s age or any thing about May 2011 being the end of the world because it is the 7000th year. And Jesus did say that quakes WOULD BE one sign of the beginning of birth pangs.

Moreover, there is no way to know when the year 7000 comes. There is no accurate measurement of time available, and Archbishop Ussher’s old chronology used by the Young Earthers isn’t accurate most likely. If any calendar bears significance, in my mind it would be the Hebrew calendar. And even it is a few centuries in question. But, the current Jewish year is approximately 5,250 something.

    25. Dennis says:

The world encyclopedia has made reference to the 7,000 B.C. We know Adam lived close to a thousand years, and so did his generation, to the ten, that is Noah. Yet the Jews believe the year is 5,000 somewhat. It must mean something else.

In KJV chapter 7, it is said Noah entered the ark when he was 600 years old.

      6. And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

It is important to see Noah as some one who was in the old world and then the new world. World history began then, so it seem.

Yes Jesus did not put the date of the end of the world as we know it, but he gave reference to it.

There is a way to know the 7000 years had come.

It is said that Obama will be the last president. In Malaysia, it is said the present president will be the last. Malaysia is a Muslim country. They had plans to 2020. Look at the 2012 world, it is said that a new generation will be here by then.

In other words, the world is looking for a change. For something better.

We don’t really know that May will be the 7000 year, although the guy seemed to have discoved it. Anyway, the guy may be right in this, although I never let his other things be the truth. He merely got one thing right.

      Dennis.

    26. wisconsinite says:

Dear Brother Camping and/or friends (double sided)

One has to be very careful when talking about the subject of the end of the world. So if it is May 22 or later when you’re reading this I’m sure you will have an open mind. But please if it’s before May 21, please still have an open mind about what you are about to read.

As for me, I’m betting that May 21 will come and go much like Y2K did. Obviously for Bro. Camping and his followers, there will be a huge disappointment and many angry people who thought for sure he was right. Many may lose their faith that Jesus is ever coming back and this may unfortunately cost them their souls. The chance of this letter ever reaching Mr. Camping is probably slim, so I will refer to him in the second person here on out.

Ok let’s get right to the mistakes we encounter with Bro. Camping’s views. But one very important scripture we need to look at first, that literally warns us of date setting is…..Revelation 10:6

“ And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.”–Rev 10:6

This verse is saying that there shall be no more time setting after the great disappointment of 1844. That disappointment, which was ordained of God as a proving test (see Habakkuk 2:1-4), was so great that here the angel swears that time settings for Gods return will never happen again.

Now I know that this is new for many people, after all, it’s from the cryptic section of revelation. And I don’t really expect you to buy into it without studying it for yourself first. But please, you listened to Bro. Camping for all this time, why not have an open prayerful mind for this view. You will have time to study it later. So let’s move on.

View 1: Bro. Camping often refers to 1Thess 5:2,4 “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night… But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”

His views seem to think that if we as Christians believe Christ will indeed come as a thief in the night without our knowing the exact day and hour, than we will be lost and that 1Thess 5:4 proves we can know the exact day.

But let’s take another view of what I think is a perfect analogy. The thief in the night analogy of Thessalonians 5:2,4 and Matthew 24:42-44. A thief is not going to tell you when he will break into your house. So what’s the only way that we can know for sure when he will break in. That’s right, staying up all night and waiting for him. The same goes with Christ return; what’s the only way we can know for sure and be prepared for what day and hour he will return, again that’s right, by always watching, waiting i.e. being spiritually ready for his return. So yes we can know the day and hour, but not in advance.

      * “Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.” 1Thessalonians 5: 6
      * “But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.”– Matt 24:43

Now think about it, if we knew Christ would come May 21 2011, would this following verse be necessary…
Matt 24:44 “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

But a real danger of believing in this date when it does come and go is this…

“But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite [his] fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint [him] his portion with the hypocrites:..” –Matt 24:48-51

Now why might a person say “My lord delayeth his coming” …hmmm quite possibly because he didn’t come when they expected Him to in May 21 2011 right?

Using the same analogy we can take it another step. Indeed everyone will know the day and hour of Christ return when he actually arrives in the clouds of glory. But just like the thief in the night analogy, only those who prepared for the thief will be able to resist him an thwart his efforts; so too everyone that prepares now i.e. watches for Christ coming by perfecting his character now in accordance with Christ will be glad when they see Christ return, not terrified of their impending doom of

losing their soul. Just as the goodman of the house is terrified when he awakes from his sleep and hears the thief pillaging his house.

So please, please everyone if Matthew didn’t make it plain enough, let’s listen to Mark…

“But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. [For the Son of man is] as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.” — Mark 13:32-37

View 2: In addition to Bro. Camping’s date time, you will hear various other misleading if not erroneous words and ideals that must be met and defended for truths sake. One big one is his seeming belief that the lord only saves who he wants to save. And that our only hope is to beg for Gods mercy that He will save us. Well, I have one scripture for this and only a few billion people know about it. How about JOHN 3:16…

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” PERIOD!!!!!

View 3: The end of the church age theory. Bro. Camping seems to say the church age ended in 1988. Dear friend, I’m not going to go over why, how or where he got the info for this belief, but let’s just again use what the scripture says. Indeed in Revelation it says to leave the churches…

Rev 18:4 “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

But unfortunately Bro. Camping and his followers fail to realize God is not telling us to leave the churches today but the ones that will have fully apostatized and enacted mans laws traditions and customs instead of Gods holy laws. Many do not realize that one day our nation will enact laws that will go directly against the Ten commandment Laws. Most Churches will agree with these “church and state” laws and it is then, that we are commanded to “come out of her my people”.

But this time has not come yet. It certainly didn’t come in 1988. This total apostasy is not yet complete. This apostasy will finally climax with the union of church and state and the world-wide decree to worship a false Sabbath or face stiff penalties.

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”—Rev 14:8

Babylon represents the united forms of false religion (the fully apostatized churches).
“And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”– Daniel 7:25
These saints of the preceding and following passage represent Gods true church.
“Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”– Rev 14:12
God has true believers in all the churches right now. That’s why Rev 18:4 warns them to come out before it too late. Too late meaning you’ve agreed to follow the worldwide decree for a man made worship that squashes Gods command of the 4rth commandment hence the term “think to change times and laws”.
“And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, [and] one shepherd.”– Matthew 10:16
These sheep are of course the true believers who will come out of the apostatizing churches.
View 4: Bro. Camping’s day/1000yrs principle. This is perhaps what started the May 21 craze. It seems that Bro. Camping refers to the following scripture often.

2 peter 3:8 “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
He seems to take the start of the flood from the bible on the 17th day of the 2nd month, in the year 4990 B.C. and adds 7000 years from the 7 days Moses waited in the ark to bring us down to May 21 2011.
A few problems though. One it appears he’s taken this verse out of context. If you read the preceding verses of 2 Peter 3 we see that in context the verse was merely discussing the apparent denial of Jesus return by scoffers…
“that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as [they were] from the beginning of the creation.”– 2 Peter 3:3-4
Now in its context verse 8 simply appears to be a response to the scoffers, implying that time means nothing to God when it comes to saving men. That’s apparent because the following verse adds to this ideal…
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
Hence the seeming delay of Christ return, hence the response one day is as a thousand years.
Furthermore we see many other situations in the bible where one or one day is compared to one thousand…
“For a thousand years in thy sight [are but] as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.” Psalms 90:4
      See also Psalms 84:10 / Ecclesiastes 7:28 / Isaiah 30:17/ Job 33:23 / Deuteronomy 32:30
All of these scriptures compare one with one thousand as if it was just an expression used, and not one of these passages remotely tries to signify a definite time period to them.
Problem two; many bible scholars agree that a day in symbolic prophecy represent one year, not one thousand….
“After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, [even] forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, [even] forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.” Number 14:34
“And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.” Ezekiel 4:6
In these verses you can see God is literally saying His day/year principle is appointed (ordained) to a specific time, but we don’t see this with His day/1000yrs statement of 2 Peter 3:8.
View 5: Bro. Camping’s claim that Satan now rules the churches, and that God has employed him there. It appears that he gets some of these views from 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4…
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 2 Thess 2:3-4
Now it’s true that today we see a gradual apostasy or “falling away” in the churches just as we did with the children of Israel and in the Reformation years. But God always rose up his true followers to come up as a remnant that bands together to form his true church.

“Should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the people of these abominations? wouldest not thou be angry with us till thou hadst consumed [us], so that [there should be] no remnant nor escaping?”– Ezra 9:14-15 (see also Jeremiah 42:2-3
“These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, [being] the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.”—Revelation 14:4
And can we really apply 2 Thess 2:3-4 to the churches just yet. Is there among the protestant churches today “that man of sin, the son of perdition.”? I ask you, are you in a church where theres one ….” Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God”…? Did we see this in 1988, the supposed end of the church age? Let s remember these verses…
“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”– Hebrews 10:25 “and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”– Matthew 16:18
Dear beloved friend, I know this is a mouthful to take in. Please do yourself a favor and look into this more. God will guide you to all truth if you really really want it. I hope you are not too disappointed with the passing of May 21 2011. Not too much to forget about Jesus return. Jesus is really coming soon. God’s Ten Commandment laws are immutable, they must be followed, the third angel’s message of Rev 14 & 18 warns us of this. The churches on a whole now are ignorant of the real truth on issues such as the true Sabbath, and that’s why the Loud Cry is going to be given in these last days to warn Gods true believers to flee from these fully apostatized churches.
Who am I writing such things? I am just trying to be one of Gods humble servants who truly loves Bro. Camping and all of his followers and I would hate to think of them giving up on Christ soon return after May 21 2011. This is not something I made up on my own. I belong to a religious body of believers and I feel the urge to help. I am literally in tears as I listen night after night to his radio program as he leads others astray. Please do not lose hope. Please keep earnestly searching digging, begging God for the real truth. I guarantee you God will not disappoint your efforts.
“But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find [him], if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, [even] in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;”– Deuteronomy 4:29-30
So in closing please, I know Bro. Camping means well, I know he has a pleasant demeanor and pleasing words. But please don’t be taken with his words such as…
      1) God gives infallible truths from the bible (when its quite obvious it was his interpretation, that’s very fallible)
      2) God in His mercy gave us this date of May 21 2011 ( very hard to hear that an not believe, right? Talk about your pleasing words.)
      3) Why God does that is His business, who are we to question what God does. (But we are questioning what man is dogmatically saying that God does.)
Here a place for you to start learning the real truths of the bible and end times.

      Sincerely Mr. Anonymous
P.S. I hope I did not offend anyone with my words. It is not my intention to do so and if I did my apologies are expressed here. May God bless you all.
P.S. 2. The “man of sin” in 2 Thess. represents satan, but is not satan himself, and it is this man that “thinks to change times and laws”.
      Pleases study this for yourselves.

    27. darryl says:

For 120 years Noah as a preacher of righteousness built the ark. AS a preacher he made known that God would soon destroy the world by flood. Nobody believed him. God told him in 7 days he will bring the flood. Of coarse Noah would tell this information too. So they in fact knew the day. But they didn’t believe the day. The result was they were all taken away by the floods. Today the same principles still apply. The world was warned of the upcoming judgement day. As the day approached the information got specific. There would be no reason God would not want this information known. He has made it know in the past and he told us more information would be unfolded in the scriptures as the day approached. Since we didn’t know we were commanded to watch. We don’t ‘watch’ in the world, we watch in the bible. No dreams or visions or mysterious hands writing on the wall, just God opening our eyes.
What if May 22nd comes and nothing happens, then what? That’s the question we can’t answer. Why? Look at it this way. If we are christians that means we believe in God. Thats like telling christians to entertain the idea that there is no God. That they have wasted their time with this religion and actually brought others under this bondage. We should all be eating and drinking and being merry because tomorrow we die. Why should a christian dwell on those things. He has made a commitment to follow christ wherever he goes. We should only make sure that whatever we do or say that it is God leading us. So it all must be established in the bible first.
Finally, there is nothing new under the sun and everything repeats itself. Very few even care, most mock and cling onto their own views. Only 8 people were saved in the ark. A great multitude won’t be making it.

    28. Dennis says:

The importance of the bible story is the end of the sixth thousand years. Taking it as the truth, I shall say it it is the only thing that is important.

Our Lord Jesus came to die. And he did not speak to the world except to the Jews.

How could Jesus die if he was God Himself? Jesus went to the preach only when he was told John the Baptize had been killed. He had to be told.

He spoke with a different voice to John the apostle in Revelation.

Of peoples who believe the Bible as the word of God, the most we can count in is about one sixth of world population. Only that small portion shall be saved? then too through year 0000?

I will say that Jesus died for everybody in this world, whether he be baptized or not. All shall arise when they hear the voice of Jesus on the last day. And all shall be living with Jesus in the new world.

And when shall the last day be? I suppose it is the 24th May this year, i.e. if the pastor got it right. I suppose it has to be right.

    29. Jonathan says:

Harold Camping has been wrong BEFORE on at least one date, that I know of. Therefore, according to the Biblical definition, Harold Camping is NOT a prophet. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. A prophet of Ba’al. In ancient times, according to the Torah, he would have been executed for this. But all you followers of his – so fixated on his “wisdom” from his “in-depth analysis” of scripture, fail to see the OBVIOUS and PLAIN contradiction in the very same Bible Camping proports to know so well. It just goes to show that you really can FOOL a lot of people, all the time.

The end of the world is AT LEAST 7 years from tomorrow morning. Guaranteed, according to the parameters set for in the Bible. By my calculations, that rules out May 21, 2011.

And Dennis, there is NO WAY that Camping can know that May 21 is the year 7000. It’s not possible.

    30. Jonathan says:

Why why why? Why don’t you people READ THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELVES?

Have you become so numb? So absolutely intellectually lazy that you can’t READ the Bible for yourselves? Doesn’t it bother you that, for hundreds of years, Christians were FORBIDDEN to read the Bible. Men and women died because of it. And now, you live in the freest most open society in the world – libraries on every corner – and you would willingly rather…

… do exactly what people in the Middle Ages had to be FORCED to do on pain of torture and death…

… give over your mind and will to someone else to be TOLD what to believe. It’s amazing. Repent.

    31. Dennis says:

Is it not wonderful, it is 7000 years from the flood will be May this year? And One Week before that actual time, the dead will be raised to meet Jesus in the air? That we too, After The Week of raising the dead, will turn into the new world?

The clock ticks away the seconds of the real world. Your one week will never come, because it is one week from tomorrow. The actual time will come as the clock ticks from Noah’s time.

If Harold Camping told nine lies and one truth in his sermon, we will take the one truth as the truth he told.

    32. amh says:

i was so very surprised to see so many billboards on this matter. As a Christian, i had to look at what was going on and stumbled accross this website. Its true, nor the day nor the hour will be known. So live with out fea, be ready at all times. Will it matter in 10,000 years if he is right or wrong? i doubt it. the saved will be in heaven the unsaved, will be not. And that should be our focus. Saving the unsaved, loving the unlovable and doing what God says in his word. if we really look at the dates and numbers of God and Camping’s 1000 years philosphy. lets also look at forgiveness. should we only forgive 144 times? or is it a metaphor to fogive as God forgave us. And in God’s terms if a day is like a thousand years is it immeasurable as well? Gods timming is not our own and we should not represent it as an equal to a calander timming. If it were, then we couldnt forgive all the people we should and therefore God’s teachings would be impracticle/ But thank God its all about forgiveness, otherwise we would all be in trouble. Go in grace and be blessed. Be encouraged and forgive.

    33. Bill says:

I contacted several organizations claiming a May 21 doomsday with the following message:
“How much do you want to bet on your prediction? I guarantee there will be NO Judgment Day on May 21, 2011, and I challenge you to bet any amount of money that you choose. Just reply to this with the amount of money you are willing to back up your lie with and I’ll reply with the particulars of where to mail me the check this coming May 22.

    34. Jonathan says:

Dennis, don’t let a little humility get in the way of your spiritual pride, ey?

Camping tells nine lies to one truth??? Why not go by what the Bible says?

    35. Dennis says:

It truly says that the year 7000 is in May. If it is not, then I am mistaken. There is nothing to do with pride.

    36. Dennis says:

I read again the original treatise, and this I have to say for all times.

We must know the world also works on numbers. Seven is a special number, and it is related to God and His holiness. There are over fifty number sevens said in the bible.

      He created the world twice. In fact, creation is mentioned twice in the Bible, in chapters 1 and chapter 5:1 This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

Like I said, most of what Harold said is different from what I believe. I accept his finding that 21 May is the seventh thousand year. But as to the people saved, I am sure God saved all. He even saved the angles in heaven.

Dare I think all are saved? I do

We hear so very little of the angels. The Bible is no more, after the end of the world.

    37. steven says:

WARNING MAY 21 2011 WILL BE THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT
Brief (tip of the ice burg) explanation
The biblical method of interpretation established by God in

[1 corinthians 2:13] is to compare the spiritual with the spiritual that is to say scripture with scripture so you can not come to a conclusion with a single verse you have to look at everything the BIBLE has to say about the subject. NOW that said and Done read these verses. {Isa 28:9-10] Here a little there a little

[Daniel 12: 4]But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of THE END: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

[Daniel12: 8]And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of THE END. 10Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand

God did NOT plan to reveal the end time info until the very END, so in the past it was impossible to KNOW

BIBLE says no man KNOWS, it did not say no man CAN know

      example:

      just like it said in

[ROMANS 3:10]As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

      but then in

[Genesis7:1]The LORD then said to Noah, “Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.

(remember it said there is none righteous, not that you could not become righteous in the sight of GOD)

and not only that but GOD also said

[Revelation3:3]Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. (This implies that if you do WATCH you will know what time Christ will come)

      Agrees with

[1 Thessalonians 5:44]But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 7For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

[matthew 24:43] 43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

[ACTS 1:6]When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

(remember daniel 12 god did not plan to reveal end time info until the end) it was their job to take the gospel to the world, but the NEXT VERSE

8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

ye shall receive POWER(remember GOD put time in his POWER) and we already know what God planed to do from daniel12 and it matches perfectly

Remmember [Ecclesiastes 8:5]Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no evil thing: and a wise man’s heart discerneth both time and judgment.

      (TIME) also means (HOUR)

The Day of the LORD, will be as the days of Noah (Matt24:37)

      1) Were people saved during the flood? YES (2Peter2:5)

      2) Were those saved warned before the destruction began? YES (Gen7:4)

      3) Did those which received the warning profess to all? YES (2Peter 2:5)

      4) Were those that did not heed the warning destroyed…? YES (Gen7:21).

you can know!!! HOW do we get to that date??? Everything in the bible has it’s purpose and there is thousands of TIME Refrences in the bible, and recently God has reveald this amazing biblical timeline of history that goes from creation to the end it’s very very complex 100% from the bible. Which many tryed in the past but was not possible because GOD did not reveal this to them. Remember [Daniel 12] the END INFO revealed at the end. Well it happens to be that we are in fact at the End. And there is NO miss calculations due to the fact that there is 3 diffrent time paths in the bible to get to this date. In other WORDS the bible guarantees MAY 21 2011 to be the day of judgement!!!!! The bible is not a book thats easy to understand. And only GOD can open eyes to see truth. THIS IS SERIOUS

Here is (ONE) of the time paths: I’ll tell you the short one, when we work through the BIBLICAL TIME LINE of history we find noahs flood to be in the year 4990bc, God in the bible actually gives the exact date for this event(genesis7:11)ok now we look at (2peter3:8) god in this chapter said that the world that then perished by water was **BY THE SAME WORD** reserved un to fire at the END, but we were not to be ignorant of one thing that 1day with the Lord was as a 1000years and 1000years as 1day CONTEXT was deffenetly speaking of noahs day, and if you go back to (genesis7:4) GOD spoke in 7days i will destroy the world, now remember what peter was talking about, if we subtitute 7days for 7000years (1day=1000years)

      4990 + 2011 = 7001

Note: When counting from an Old Testament date to a New Testament date, always subtract one year because there is no year zero, resulting in:

      4990 + 2011 – 1 = 7000 years exactly. fits perfectly JUDGMENT DAY: MAY 21st, 2011

[Amos 3:7 ]Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Among many Bible proofs of all this, is the fact that God has brought His many calamities throughout the last 13,023 years of the history of the Universe, and He has NEVER once done this without first warning His servants, His Elect.

God has stated this basic Bible principle, that God ALWAYS warns of calamity in advance – in Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but He revealeth His secrets unto His servants the prophets.” God also displayed this principle in Genesis 18:17 “and the LORD said: Shall I hide from Abraham the thing which I do?” as God was about to destroy the 4 cities of the Plain with fire and brimstone.

This vast Bible principle is so prominent and so important now, at the end of the world, that it must be repeated and documented: GOD HAS NEVER BROUGHT CALAMITY WITHOUT FIRST WARNING HIS PEOPLE IN ADVANCE. Even the hundreds of thousands of Jews killed in battles were in a setting where God WARNED them in advance.

Here are almost all of these Bible calamities from God Himself—in all of them He warned His own in advance

Noah and the flood:–all but 8 on Earth drowned

      Genesis 6:12-13 and Genesis 7:10-11.

Abraham, Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboam destroyed

      Genesis 18:17 and Genesis 19:24.

      Joseph and the famine:

      Genesis 41:25 and Genesis 41: 53-54.

      Moses and the 10 plagues:

      Exodus 4:22-23 and Exodus 12:30.

Moses and Korah: [14,950 Temple servants killed]

      Numbers 16:23-35

      Moses; and Israel destroyed

      Deuteronomy 4:26-27 and 2 Kings 25:1, 8-10.

Joshua and ~2 million Israelites circle Jericho 13 times — totally destroyed, except Rahab and family

      Joshua 6

Judgment on the House of Eli

      I Sam 3: 11-14

      Judgment on King Saul

      I Samuel 28:16-19

Judgment on Ahab and Jezebel – for what they did to Naboth [figure of Christ]

      I Kings 21: 17-24

      David and Bathsheba–their child dies

      2 Samuel:12:13-14 and 18.

David and the census:- God kills 70,000

      1 Chronicles 21:1-4 and 1 Chronicles 21: 7-15

Judgment on the Northern 10 tribes

      Isaiah 7:8

      Judgment on Judah’s 2 tribes

Jeremiah – he warned them 20 years

Judgment on Jehoiakim for burning “The Book”

      Jeremiah 36: 30-32

      Judgment on Tyre

      Ezekiel 26-28

      Judgment on Jerusalem

Ezekiel warned them from exile in Babylon for 11 years

Judgment on Satan and his kingdom

      Daniel 5

Judgment on all NT churches; the Great Tribulation

      Daniel 7-12 [all of Daniel]; I Peter 4:17, Matthew 24: 15-21, Mark 13: 14-23, Luke 17: 26ff, Luke 21: 20-24

There are many more examples…all of the Major and Minor prophets [Isaiah to Malachi] over and over foretell the destruction of Israel and Judah, and likewise the destruction of all the NT churches at the time of the End.

People who do not study the Bible carefully, quickly answer that “no man knows” when the End will be [see Matt 24:36 AND 37---NOAH KNEW THE VERY DAY]…Some even foolishly teach that Jesus Himself doesn’t know the time of the End – this would be a severe contradiction of the entire Bible’s teaching that Jesus is God. People quickly, easily give away any hope they might have of knowing God, by professing Jesus “doesn’t know”- a foul teaching of rank unbelief, denigrating our Savior

Before anything note: Greek New Testament originals were written in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS the capital “S” was added in by a translator.

      King James Bible

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Many say JESUS(GOD) does not know when he returns that claim is not faithful to the WHOLE Bible. show you why…

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a **son** is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The MIGHTY GOD, The EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace. (note: Jesus is the Father, GOD)

1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth **ALL** things. ( note: Jesus knows EVERYTHING)

Acts 17:31Because he hath **APPOINTED A DAY**, in the which he will JUDGE the WORLD in righteousness by [that] man whom he hath ordained; [whereof] he hath given assurance unto all [men], in that he hath raised him from the dead. (note: Jesus(GOD) has already APPOINTED THAT DAY)

Now there is more than one “son” mentioned in the BIBLE that is: son of perdition

2 Thessalonians 2:3Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, **the son of perdition;**(satan)

      Matthew24:36

      King James Bible

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

This verse is 100%true…, The *natural man* cannot know (Let me define that term with the Bible)

1 Corinthians 2:10 But God hath *revealed* them unto us by *HIS Spirit:* for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

      (GODS SPIRIT NOT MAN)

11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the THINGS of GOD knoweth NO MAN, but the **SPIRIT**of God.

      (GODS SPIRIT knows NOT Man)

12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the ***SPIRIT WHICH IS OF GOD;*** that we MIGHT KNOW the things that are freely given to us OF GOD.

(GOD puts HIS SPIRIT in us so we can KNOW the things of GOD – THAT IS GOD IN US -)

13Which things also we speak, **not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth**, but which the **Holy Ghost teacheth**; COMPARING spiritual things with spiritual.

(Bible being the only source of SPIRITUAL truth, we are to compare scripture with scripture. This is the correct method of interpretation for the BIBLE.)

      Next verse:

14But the *NATURAL MAN* receiveth NOT the things of the SPIRIT of GOD: for they are foolishness unto him: **NEITHER CAN HE KNOW THEM,** because they are spiritually discerned.

(Remember matt 24:36 “day and hour knoweth no man” NATURAL MAN CAN NOT KNOW”)

16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? **BUT WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.**
(Its NOT MAN that KNOWS but the SPIRIT of GOD(JESUS) that is in you)

may GOD bless you, and your loved ones in these last days and may he open your spiritual eyes if it is according to his perfect purpose.

An Open letter to Harold Camping, Family Radio and to the supporters of “Judgment Day: 21 May 2011.”

Many of you have bought the lies, flawed logic and faulty interpretation of scripture (Based on Eisegesis, Numerology, Mysticism, False Allegory, and bad Logic) by a false teacher, Harold Camping. You have made great changes in your lives and at great cost to yourselves, your family, friends and society. All based on Camping’s predictions, a so called teacher of scripture whose track record in predicting End-time scenarios is 100% Wrong.

I plead with you to re-reconsider your decision; cut your losses thus far in supporting this one man’s lies and delusions, and return to serving our Lord and Savior in Truth and Grace.

Perhaps it is an overused scripture reference, but in needs repeating. As it concerns the issues of the end times, scripture is very clear: “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (NIV Matt 24:36) Harold Camping was wrong when he predicted the end of the world between 15 September and 27 September 1994. In his book “1994?” which outlines his predictions for that false prophecy, he spends over 500 pages telling us when the end times would come. But it only takes about five seconds to read (and re-read if necessary) Matthew 24:36 “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Every single argument in his book is answered from one verse in “The Book.”

As to his latest hype and false predictions, no amount of writing by Camping, dedication on the part of his followers to spread the false prediction, Links on the Net or Facebook anecdotes can detract from the truth of: “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

Is there something about Harold camping, that the Church in two thousand years has not recognized or learned? Is Camping that Special? A Prophet or the Son of a Prophet? If so he would have been stoned to death according to the teachings on false prophets from the book of Deuteronomy “But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.”Deu. 18:20.

Camping was wrong before, and he would have been wrong again, with another future prediction that he was ready to make. It is a well known fact, within his inner circle at the time, that Camping was about to make and publish another false prediction. Those within his inner circle warned him that they would leave his organization if Camping attempted to write another book predicting the end of the world, which Camping was thinking of doing in the late 1990′s early 2000s. Camping relented and many of them stayed, but with great suspicions in their minds.

Perhaps those of the inner circle are now gone, and that is why he has once again, contrary to the clear teaching of scripture, made a prediction about an event that “No one knows about that day.” Camping shakes his fist at a Holy and Righteous God, with his arrogance deceiving hundreds of thousands and making a mockery of the church.

I wish to make a prediction here as well; one based from reading scripture and from reading about the scores of false predictions made by Christian larders and authors. Those of you who have left families, sold your possessions, turned over homes and properties, canceled life plans, such as: having children, marriage, and school to name but a few, you will reap the tears and pain of the seeds of deception that Camping has planted. Cut your losses now, return to your lives, families, school, have your children, marry your loved one. Restore sanity and sobriety to your lives. For on the 22nd of May 2011, you will be unreservedly devastated if you continue on your course of action with this prediction.

Perhaps as you are reading this letter you will think me a fool, deceived, to be pitied and feel compelled to pray over me for enlightenment. But what will you say on the 22nd of May 2011 when you are still here? When Camping’s predictions are wrong, once again. What will be your testimony about God? His Kingdom? His Word and Holy Spirit? Will those around you marvel at the God you claim to follow? Or find more reason to ridicule the Church, Scripture and Christ?

21 May 2011 will come and go, and unless the Lord calls anyone one of us home on that day, the world will continue, More than likely, so will Camping with his excuses and rationalizations.

But what of you? Your Family? Children? Homes? Education?

    40. Dennis says:

It is said 21s May is the new year of the 7000th. So we expect the last day shall be 20th May. We know that the dead will arise before us, for one week; it is said Noah got into the ark for 7 days before the flood.

Then too we should expect that we too shall take a week of die off, and get into the new world. That means a fortnight to the end of the world. So we shall expect to see the dead arise by the 6th of May.

      To be seen. Hmmm.

Now we know the Jews are true believers of the scriptures, only that they expect the Christ to be some one else other than Jesus. Unfortunately, they expect their Christ to come by the 2009. It did not happen. http://www.thecooljew.net/2008/10/very-interesting-mashiach-coming-in.html

We have just one month or so left. It is going to be exciting – not frightening.

    43. AntiLieGuy says:

There is no rapture (Amos 5:18). Judgment day will be on 10-10 (Ez 24:1-2, Jer 52:4). It will be in the fall (Amos 7:1). It will be the same day as the next false flag using the nuke the neocons stole in 07 (Ez 23:37). There will be water flowing from every mountain and hill in that day (Is 30:25; The excess rain comes from chemtrails hiding Planet X). Regardless of what your personal beliefs are i think it is safe to say this guy is a bit crazy. Being Christian myself i find it funny that the bible mentions false prophets and here he is claiming to be a prophet. This is a great reminder of several good points the writer of this piece has touched on
      1. The bible SAYS that we can not know the time or day of the return of Jesus
      2. Doesn’t Satin take jesus up to the mountain and use the bible out of context (just saying thats kind of a red flag in itself)
      3. JUDGEMENT DAY does not happen until the 7 year tribulation is over
      4. The antichrist has not been discovered yet (although Camping might know as they are both wolves among the flock)
      5. God stresses in the bible that we can not know his ways.

It is SOOOO important to read the bible and take it word for word in a literal sense. I sincerely hope that all people on earth come to Christ before its too late (whenever that may be) we should really all be living each day as if the lord were to return any second.

    47. Did Noah really know? An explanation of Noah’s flood

A.S. see my April 4 wisconsinite thread

It seems that many assume as they read the account of the flood in genesis 7 that God told Noah that in seven days He would send the flood rains. So many readers assume that Moses warned everyone in the world that there were only seven days left, and that if they did not enter within those next seven days that they would be lost.

But is that the way it really happened. Lets take a closer look at Genesis 7. More specifically, Genesis 7:1.

“And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.” –Gen 7:1

Ok, lets stop right here. Do you see what I’m getting at? In the very first verse God tells Noah and his family to enter the ark.
This is before the statement of …

“For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth…”—Gen 7:4

It seems that Bro. camping and others assume that since verse 5 mentions that moses did all that God commanded that they must have went into the ark after Gods announcement of Gen 7:4

But looking at the context of Gen 7:1-16 it appears this comment was made along with the other comments, stressing the obedience and safety of Noah, his family and the animals, and not to relay exactly when they entered the ark. Consider these verses…

1 “And Noah did according unto all that the LORD commanded him” –Gen 7:5
2 “And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark”– verse 7
3 “There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.”—verse 9
4 “In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;–verse 13
5 “And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in.”—verse 16

Our belief is (from verse 1 and the spirit of prophecy) that Moses and his family were already in the ark with the door shut when God told them about the seven days.
As many Christians already know, probation will have closed just before Christ returns. This period of closed probation before Christ return equals the seven day period of those outside the ark. We believe that’s why the analogy was mentioned in Matthew 24.

Matthew 24:38-39 “For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,” (and the door was shut…probation closes)
“And knew not until the flood came,” (because it came a full seven days later) “and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Did you see the phrase And knew not.

They did not know the day or hour of the flood. And neither will we know the day or hour of Christ return.

My friends these May 21 2011 pundits will go so far as to try to say that Revelation 3:3 proves their point.

“ If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.” –Rev 3:3

So they reason, if you do watch you can know the time Christ will come. So what gives. And how do they explain…

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come”—Mathhew 24:42

I’ll tell what gives. Its their understanding of the word “watch”. Unfortunately their interpretation of watch means to study to see if we can find an exact date of Christ return.

But “watch” simply means to always be spiritually “ready” for Christ return…

“And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut… Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh”—Matthew 25:10,13
“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Mathew—24:44

Ready for what? Ready for May 21 2011? No!!! Why? Because…

“…if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready:..”

But brother Camping and friends will say, but what about Daniel 12:4,8,9

“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, [even] to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased… And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what [shall be] the end of these [things]? 12:9And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”Dan—12:4,8,9

Yes God will reveal His hidden secrets to us in these last days. But if you look at the context of this verse carefully we see that Daniel was worried about when the end of the things of his vision would take place, not exactly when the end of the world would be. Daniel was also concerned about the nation of Israel and their plight and when it would be over. That’s why the angel had to tell Daniel…

“Go thy way, Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” Daniel 12:9
“Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision [is] for [many] days.”—Daniel 10:14

Also please understand that these last few chapters are connected, as many bible scholars agree.

That God is revealing His secrets is for sure. Do we as Christians really all agree on when the 2300 days are of Daniel 8, or who exactly the different Kings are of Daniel 11. These are different things that God is revealing unto us.

So now, back to May 21 2011. When the day comes and goes, you’ all as Camping’s’ followers will have to start re-evaluating all of Mr. Camping’s’ teachings, including his take on the 2300 days.

Only with Gods help can we come to the truth of these last days mysteries. Put away all of your prejudices and as you search the truth on the 2300 day and other prophecies, cling to the interpretations that appears to make the most sense to you, regardless of what denomination is preaching it. Your salvation is at stake here!!

Just to get you off to the right track, I’ll give you a couple of references to read up on the 2300 day prophecy. Prayerfully study it and see if it makes more sense or not than what Bro. Camping or others are saying about this period. And May God bless you in your search for the truth.

Some will argue that scripture tells us elsewhere that we can discern this date. If that is so, then scripture ceases to be authoritative, clear, and becomes contradictory. No one knows, not even Harold Camping, or those who wish to push and support his lies and deceptions. Jesus as a Human Agent on this earth did not know, the fact that as Jesus, the Second Person of the Trinity does know, is not an argument against Matthew 24:36. Nor does it back Camping or anyone else who likes to play scriptural gymnastics to hold on to a point that scripture is clear about.

Harold Camping was wrong when he predicted the end of the world between 15 September and 27 September 1994. For on the 22nd of May 2011, you will be unreservedly devastated if you continue on your course of action with this prediction. I hasten to add this, but my predictions about Camping’s prediction, as well as that of dozens of other leaders and ministries in the past 20 years in reference to end time scenarios, to include the Y2K debacle, all have all come true. I have been 100% correct about end time predictions, unlike Camping who has been 100% Wrong.

21 May 2011 will come and go, and unless the Lord calls anyone one of us home on or before that day, the world will continue. More than likely, so will Camping with his excuses and rationalizations. So will many if his followers, who had lost so much proclaiming a falsehood.

But what of you? Your Family? Children? Homes? Education?

On the 22nd of May 2011, if Lord willing I have not departed this earth in Death to be with the Lord, I will look for your Confessions, Repentance and Condemnation of the false teachings and beliefs associated with the end times of Camping. Of Harold Camping and the Family Radio Organization, may God lead them to compensate all of the people who spent their life savings and money allocated to education and paying bills in such an economy, as Scripture directs Christians to do, when they have taken advantage of others. I also hope and pray that other Christian ministries, who now do business with Camping and Family Radio, will hold them accountable and responsible for this Spiritual Pollution.

May God Have mercy on all those who have fallen under this delusion, and to those who spread it.

    58. Augustine says:

Doesn’t the Bible tell us that no one knows the timing of the end?
“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son, but the Father only”. – Mark 13:32

A statement can usually be understood in many contexts. Sometimes, the context is obvious. Sometimes, it is assumed. The context can change the meaning of a statement, or make it more specific. Is this true of chronological context? Consider the following statements.
1-No one knows how to make an electric light bulb.
2-We can know how to make an electric light bulb.
3- We will know how to make an electric light bulb.
4- We do know how to make an electric light bulb.
Which of these statements is correct? We might say only #4 is correct, because we immediately think within the context of our current time. But the first three were, at one point, 100% correct. It depends on the chronological context. Statement #1 was 100% correct before the light bulb was thought possible. Statement #2 was correct and was conditional on man’s potential to discover the technology. Statement # 3 predicted what eventually came to pass. Notice that the first statement, no one knows, does not negate the other three. Just because at one point, no one knew how to make an electric light bulb, didn’t mean we can’t know or we won’t know.
When Christ told the Apostles no one knows the day of Judgment, He was not telling us that no one can or will ever know. That conclusion is read into the passage even though it does not say that. In fact, in many passages the Bible repeat the principles that we can and will know the timing of the end.

Consider how this scenario developed with Noah. For many years, Noah knew that the flood was coming, but he did not have a date. If anyone asked him when he expected this flood to start, all he could say was “someday”. This was because no one knew the day or the hour. Then seven days before the flood, God revealed the exact date to Noah.

“For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights…” Gen 7:4

So for years, all Noah could say was only God knows the date of the flood, and he was correct, but it never meant that Noah couldn’t or wouldn’t know. He could know only if God revealed it. We learned that this would later be the case when God did reveal it.
Since we know from Mark 13:32 that only God knows the day and hour, then for us to be able to discern from Scripture the date of Judgment the Bible would have to not only allow, but establish the principle that God reveals information to us that only He knows.
We clearly have Biblical authority for showing the accuracy of the statement that knowledge of the timing of the end comes from God only in Mark 13:32. It was spoken to the Apostles by Christ when they were asking about the end. In His answer, Jesus also explained why God wasn’t going to reveal the timing to them. In Acts 1, starting at verse 6:

“When they therefore were come together, they asked of him saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the Kingdom to Israel?” And he said unto them, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Christ made it clear that it was not for them to know. It begs the question, if not for them, then for whom? Later, we will learn in the book of Daniel for whom it is to know. Christ is explaining to the Apostles that their task has nothing to do with the end. He clearly gives them a mission of beginning the process of evangelizing the world. The timing of the end would not affect them in their generation or any generation of their time, so they were not to have anything to do with that message.
I compare this to a young person, say 15 years old, planning the 100th birthday party of their great-great-grandson. This young person will not be in that generation. They don’t know what year it will be. The task of planning will fall to the generation of that time because they will have all the information necessary to carry it out. Likewise, we can consider the generation that will be on earth when the end comes will be the generation to whom the information applies, and therefore will have the information revealed to them by God.
That sounds like a neat and nifty comparison, but is it Scriptural?
As stated earlier, for us to consider the possibility that we can know the timing of the end, the Bible would have to unequivocally establish the principle that we can know things that are only privy to God. Consider I Corinthians 2 starting in verse 9:
“But as it is written, eye hath not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
Here we see that we do not know the things about our future that God knows. Is it telling us that we can’t, or won’t know these things? It continues:

“But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit, for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”
So concerning these things which God has prepared for us, only God knows them, but He reveals them to us. We could never learn the things that only God knows unless and until He reveals them to us. We can’t “figure it out” on our own.
The passage continues to explain this principle in verse 12:
“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”
This is an extremely insightful passage that explains the principle that God reveals His information to us through His Word on a spiritual level. Does God present examples of this principle elsewhere in Scripture? Consider the following verses:
“Shall a trumpet be blown in the city and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing but He revealeth His secret unto His servants, the prophets”-Amos 3:6-7
“He revealeth the deep and secret things. He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with Him.” –Daniel 2:22
“But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar, what shall be in the latter days.” –Daniel 2:28
So we see that revealing His knowledge to us is part of how God interacts with mankind. Does this mean that there can be information in the Bible right before our eyes, but we won’t understand it until God reveals it to our understanding? The Apostles lived and interacted with Christ Himself, and He taught them Scripture, but even they couldn’t understand it until God actually opened their understanding and revealed it to them.
“Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.” – Luke 24:45
If God established the principle that He reveals His knowledge to us, where in the Bible does it tell us that this applies to the timing of the end?
In the book of Daniel, Daniel is receiving information through visions about the end of the world. Then Daniel is told something curious.
“But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Daniel 12:4
God makes the statement that the book should be sealed. The book is concerning visions of the end of the world. Will it be sealed forever? No. It says to the time of the end, and at that time, knowledge will be increased. Daniel is confused by all this and asks for clarification as to the timing of when these horrible visions will come to pass. God repeats the information to him.
“And I heard, but I understood not. Then I said, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go thy way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.” -Daniel 12:8
Here we see God telling Daniel that the timing of the end will be understood only when the end time comes. It would not be during Daniel’s generation, so he was told that the information is not for him. It would not be the Apostle’s generation, so they were told that the information is not for them. The information is useless to any other generation but the generation that will experience it.
So when we read that “of that day and hour knoweth no man”, we see that when we take the whole Bible into account, comparing Scripture with Scripture, that God has a whole lot more to say. And it is unbiblical to read into the context of Mark 13:32 the words “shall know” or “will know” or “can know”. Adding to the words of the Bible changes its meaning and that’s why God forbids it.
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of the prophecy of this book, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” –Rev22: 18-19
But doesn’t the Bible teach that Christ will come as a thief in the night?
“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” 1 Thess 5:2
No matter how distant their doctrinal disagreements are, all of the Christian denominations, Catholic and Protestant, curiously seem to agree on one thing; the doctrine that Christ will come by surprise. 1Thes 5:2 is a popular verse used to counter the claim that we can know the date of Judgment Day. One wonders if they are reading the entire passage. Do they even realize what they are saying? Let’s examine what the Bible means by the phrase “a thief in the night”. Let’s continue in I Thessalonians with verse 3.
“For when they shall say peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape.”
So those for whom Christ comes as a thief in the night will believe they have peace and safety and will be caught off guard in destruction. Notice the shift as it continues:
“BUT ye brethren, are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief.”
The passage suddenly started talking about a different group of people. He was talking about “them” and “they” who will be overtaken as a thief and will suffer sudden destruction by surprise. Those people will believe Christ is coming as a thief in the night and so will be caught off guard. They believe they have peace and safety because they believe they are saved. But there is another group of people who will not be claiming that Christ is coming as a thief because they will know when He is coming. They will not be overtaken by surprise. Who are these people? It continues:
“Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep as do others, but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night, and they that be drunken, are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.”
What an amazing passage. Those who are claiming that they have peace and safety and that Christ is coming as a thief in the night, are the very people for whom the Bible guarantees us will be suddenly overtaken as a thief in the night and destroyed. They are said to be asleep, and in darkness, as opposed to those who know He is coming because they are watching. Please take some time to prayerfully reread that passage carefully. When we look in today’s world, those loyal to their churches are the ones claiming both that they have safety in the salvation gospel of their church and that Christ is coming as a thief in the night. They are insisting that they identify with those who the Bible says are in darkness and will be overtaken with sudden destruction. For those of us who have loved ones in the churches, it’s enough to make us sick with grief and sorrow.
We wonder why they look at this passage and cannot see what it is plainly saying. Then we read the next epistle to the Thessalonians where we read a passage like this:
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” 2 Thes 2.
This matches perfectly with the doctrine we see in Scripture today where the abomination of desolation, Satan’s rule, is now prominent in the church system, disguised as an “angel of light” (messengers of Christ). They offer people a salvation program that puts them in charge instead of God. It’s no wonder this is the case in the churches today where in everyone you will find a formula for salvation that includes work such as “accepting” Christ, becoming baptized, or some other effort to get oneself saved.
So then if we claim that there is a Biblical timeline that shows us the timing of the end, and we are told in the Bible that we will be able to discern this information from the Scriptures, and we are sounding the warning throughout the world, why does the world, and especially the churches, reject it? The passage we read earlier in I Corinthians 2 continues on to provide insight to that, continuing in verse 14:
“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, but we have the mind of Christ.”

We have shown our Biblical authority that we can know the timing of the end. We have also shown our Biblical authority that the last generation can and will know. Those who argue against it must show their Biblical authority which refutes it. But this Biblical principle is not unique to the end times. It does not stand alone. It is supported by Biblical precedence that shows this to be a very typical way of God interacting with His people.
-Noah was warned of the date of the flood.
-Moses and the Israelites were warned of the timing of the plague of death.
-Job was warned of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
-Nineveh was given the date and advanced warning of their destruction.
Time and time again God demonstrates His process of interacting with His people mainly for the purpose of giving advanced warning and timing of judgment so they are not caught by surprise.
This is the absolute, glorious, generous, and astounding mercy of God that we read of throughout His Holy Word.

Mankind loves this world. It is all we know. We want to succeed. We want to see our children succeed. We will say, for the sake of our religion, that Christ will return. But by nature, we will not want to accept an end to this world. There are thousands of pages written on the large amount of Biblical information concerning the timing of the end to be MAY 21, 2011 as revealed in the pages of Scripture.

I can guarantee you with absolute confidence, based in the Bible, that the world will NOT end any sooner than 7 years from today. Why? Well, study the New Testament for yourself and figure it out. It ISN’T that hard to get. You just have to be willing to be patient enough to study.

I think I have to add to work the words of Enoch. The article is sort of complete, and it says almost every thing. But Enoch tells a greater story, and I think it tells that all shall be save. When I say all, it means all. Let me read a phrase in Revelation 5:13

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

Even Satan will have to say our Lord is God.

What I think many will fall away from the church after this, Jesus said this would happen. It’s not our concern whether our Lord Christ, comes today or tomorrow and or May 21, the important thing is we preach the good news to the ends of the earth like He commanded, This will be judged trust me. Should be praying for the saints, building up the church regardless when Jesus returns, we are called to work, planting seed so Jesus can harvest……….please don’t encourage dates and or figure out when our Lord and Savior is coming, He is coming and soon, pray for those who are spreading this false gospel to the church and non-Christan believers. Remember we care to love brother Camping regardless, and pray for him to stop adding and or taking away from God’s word. Stan

Judgment day is not 5/21/11. As detailed as Harold Camping’s studies are, the conclusions are all wrong. Harold Camping comes from a very legalistic point of view and seems to know very little about God’s love and grace. And Harold’s interpretation of the bible doesn’t give the claim the status of “biblical authority.”

Do these people really think that he’s the only Christian on the face of the earth that got this right? The people promoting this aren’t coming to the same conclusion; they’re just repeating what Harold Camping said. Don’t these people study the bible for themselves?

If anyone is interested in seeing counter arguments, please go to my site where I’m examining the Judgment day teachings of Harold Camping. http://www.judgmentdaytruth.com

When nothing happens on 5/21/11 I hope these people are honest enough to admit their mistake and humble themselves before the world and apologize for promoting this false teaching.

I’m genuinely concerned for the people that do believe it. A lot of people are going to be devastated when this doesn’t happen. That is when, fellow Christians, we’ll need to setup and help restore the faith of those who were misled.

    66. Only Me says:

Before I accept or dismiss 21st May as the start of our grisly end I have a few questions for those who genuinely believe the end will start then.

      1) Based on ‘one day as a thousand years’, Genesis says that Noah lived for 600+ years. Now 600 x 365 = 219,000 days x 1000 = 219,000,000. Sorry but I can’t accept this in any way! So how can the ‘one day as a thousand years’ calculation only apply to selected parts? Likewise, if Jesus was resurrected 3 days after his death, and one day as a thousand years, that means the resurrection still hasn’t happened, and won;t happen until 3000AD, which will be after the end of the world.

      2) When our ancestors have passed, at their funerals we have been told they are now with God in Heaven. Some of our ancestors have probably sinned far more than some of us – why would they go to Heaven, yet we are to remain on earth begging for death, and will even then not be saved? What is the difference?

      3) We are taught that God is forgiving. So when the horrors unfold, and we are begging for mercy, why this time would it not be granted? Or has it never been granted? If it has never been granted, then why have we been mislead?

      4) Doesn’t the story of Jesus say at the end he said ‘forgive them Father, for they know not what they do?’, abut the very people that murdered him. So assuming none of us are murderers here, why would he not ask for our forgiveness?

      5) I remember being taught that God is in everything, every being, every animal etc. So if God destroys all of those things, he is partly destroying himself – is that what this is all about? Or is self destruction not part of the plan?

      6) There are some wonderful, kind, humanitarians that are not Christian, but that devote their lives to the welfare of those less fortunate – will God ignore those people or will they be saved? The same goes for babies too tiny to have sinned (ie 1 or 2 days old) the unfortunate who are not capable of sin through disability etc.

      7) Regarding ‘the meek shall inherit the earth’, so the meek must include those starving in Africa etc yet not many of those are Christian – so how will that work?

      8) The Bible itself says ‘thou shalt not kill’, yet if the end happens in the way you are predicting, there will have never been mass murder like it, for me that is a total contradiction – surely God cannot make a rule then not uphold it himself.

      9) If you believe because of what you have read in the Bible, then how can you ignore other Bible passages, just picking out the ones that could loosely suggest this date?

10 and finally!) What will happen if your calculations turn out to be incorrect, as they were in 1994. Do you have another date in the future already worked out, based on a different set of calculations?

      Thanks.

    67. Michael says:

Harold Camping & Family Radio Don’t TRULY Believe That 5/21 is Judgment Day!

How Can I Make That Statement?

Family Radio owns many, many radio station licenses in the USA. According to wikipedia.com, those station licenses are worth hundreds of millions of dollars. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Family_Radio
Currently, Family Radio’s affiliates in New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, and San Francisco are on prime commercial frequencies and the licenses of these stations alone may be worth hundreds of millions of dollars if sold today. BTW –this doesn’t include radio station licenses that they own in foreign countries)
If HC & FR TRULY believed that 5/21 is Judgment Day, they would have sold those licenses and used the money to buy more billboard space and distribute more tracts. Incidentally, it’s very simple to create a sale/lease back arrangement where an asset is sold but the seller retains control for some period of time before the buyer assumes full control of the asset. HC & FR should have negotiated a lucrative deal to sell the station licenses but still use them through 5/21. On 5/22, control of the licenses could then have passed to the new owners. Why didn’t, or haven’t, HC & FR structured a sale/lease back arrangement for the station licenses and facilities? And what about the other assets such as real estate and buildings and assets in foreign countries?

I think it’s reasonable and prudent to question the motives of an organization that proclaims to the world that 5/21/2011 is the day of judgment yet continues to hold on to hundreds of millions of dollars in assets. According to 1 JOHN 3:17 (NIV), If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Do you believe that FR is following this passage in scripture by hoarding hundreds of millions of dollars? I strongly urge anyone who is considering making a donation to FR to think & pray long and hard.

    68. Dennis says:

      My Final Message:

The Bible said God shut the door of the Ark on the 600th birthday of Noah, on the 17th day of the 2nd month of Noah’s calendar. And on May 20th this year, it is 7,000 years later of the same Noah’s event. We have to thank Harold Camping for bringing it to our attention. The date became noticeable only about two years ago, although it was in the Bible all along those thousands of years.

Take note that that is the only date the Bible mentioned. We were intentionally blinded til the time of the end. It is said so in Daniel. That is why Jesus said to look at Noah, and yet we could not determine the end, until now, the end of time.

Man is made up of 1, the man, 2, his soul and 3, the spirit. But Jesus was made of man on earth, but his soul and spirit is God. He is the only one from the spiritual to ever become man. Not even Lucifer was ever to become man.

Yet Lucifer is quiet, check the Bible.

Jesus came to earth, the last stage of his empire, so that he could save all of man kind, and I think also the spiritual. For it is said that all will finally accept his Lordship, as God of the world.

In the end all will enjoy his Lordship.

The end time is now. Be happy.

    69. Charles Pugh says:

Harold Camping, you claim to know the date and time of the return of Jesus Christ to call up his Church unto himself. It is written in the Holy Scriptures “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power”(Acts1: 7). “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only”(Matthew 24:36). “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father” (Mark 13:32). “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night”(1 Thessalonians 5:2).
By your own prophecies, you have called the Holy Scriptures a liar, you have called the Son of Man a liar, and you have called the LORD thy GOD a LIAR. God cannot tell a lie because to lie is a sin, so are you saying that God is sinful and have deceived all of his children who believe his Holy Word? It is written in the Holy Scriptures, “But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die”(Deuteronomy 18:20). Is your faith in this prophecy, which you have proclaimed in the name of God strong enough that you would give up your life should these things, not come to pass? You have not drank of the Living Water that is the Holy Spirit of God, but instead you have drank bitter waters that have poisoned your mind and hardened your heart against the LORD thy GOD. Woes unto you, for one day you will stand before the LORD thy GOD and give an account for this terrible sin you have committed. You are leading unsuspecting people who have not knowledge of the Word of God down a path of destruction.
It is written in the Holy Scriptures, “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man”(Psalm 118:8). The Lord tells me to be ever ready because he will come like a thief in the night. You man, say that Christ will return on May 21, 2011. I trust in the LORD thy GOD and put no confidence in your prophecy.
I beseech you to repent of this terrible sin and false prophecy you have proclaimed while there is still time. Rescind this false teaching and lead not people astray. It is written in the Holy Scriptures, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand”(Matthew 4:17b). Do not believe anything that I have written here but seek out the Word of God, go to Him in prayer and read for yourself. You have the Word of God, therefore believe the Word of God. It is not to late to repent and ask for forgiveness.

    70. Only Me says:

The one thing I do not understand, and as yet cannot get an explanation on, is I get the bit that this is the 7000th year etc. I get the bit about the warning. What I don’t get is why in this case we are to apply the 1000 years as one day, but not in any other instance in the Bible.

EG The first flood 40 days and 40 nights, was that 40 days or 40,000 years? It has to be 40 days or we’d still be in the early stages of it! Noah’s age was he 600 or 219,000,000 years old? The resurrection was it 3 days after Jesus’ death or 3000 years – if so its not going to happen until at least 3000AD and we’re nowhere near that date yet, so why schedule the resurrection for after the end of the world? Please can anyone that believes Camping explain this one, because at the moment it does appear that Camping hasn’t thought it out thoroughly!

    71. Dennis says:

If Jesus died on the last hour of Friday and then it was Saturday, that makes it 25th hour. And then he rose the next hour, making it 26th hour, it is still the third day. He don’t have to wait for the last hour to make it the third day.

You don’t have to think it is always a thousand years to make one day.

Sorry I failed to keep the final day. This is the last time, I promise.

    72. Only Me says:

Dennis, sorry I am not trying to get you to post again if you don’t want to, but what I am getting at, is why in this case do we assume 1000 years as one day, yet for the great flood, ages of people in the Bible, the resurrection etc, one day means one day. Why doesn’t the ‘rule’ or ‘logic’ apply in other instances – only this one concerning 21st May?

Believe me, I am not totally against the idea of 21st May being the beginning of the end, with all the dreadful things going on in todays world, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for Jesus to return, show us all the error of our ways etc., but to be able to take the prediction seriously, I just need to understand a few things, the one day/thousand years being one of those things.

    73. Dennis says:

Well, you know that God said the seventh day is holy to Him. And every Saturday is the seventh day. So He made all to stop work, on Saturday!

When Jesus return, we shall find that every one has been wrong. Even eating bread is wrong! What you may say. Why? Because we are born out of heaven. We were made in sin. From Cain to the last person to live on earth, all are sinners. Only Adam and Eve were made in heaven.

I think that is why Jesus, the Son of God must come to ‘save’ us. Forget about Christians Only being saved! Jesus never baptize.

(Christians hate me for saying it.)

And that is why I said all of us shall be in heaven and the world shall be destroyed, and then build up again. Then we will live on earth, and the kingdom of God shall come down to earth. It is best you check the Revelation very carefully.

Heaven shall be built again, on earth.

Well, it is almost time now.

    74. Only Me says:

I confess to still being confused, and I guess not a lot will change that!

I hope that Jesus will come and save us and finally bring peace and harmony to this troubled world and I do believe that in time it will happen, but I truly don’t believe that time is yet.

My own personal view is that it will not happen until some kind of holocaust happens, and man has done his best to destroy not only the planet but each other all at the same time. Then I think it will happen, as mankind will have learnt their lesson the hard way, and God will have mercy on those left with the devastation that will follow.

I also think God will unite religions once and for all by showing us that he is not only God, but Allah and various other ‘Gods’ and finally the world can be at peace. Until that day, lets agree to differ and embrace each others views for both their similarities and differences. Take care.

    75. gregg says:

Perhaps you all should stop waisting your time with all this and go be a friend to someone who is suffering and needs love…..I’m pretty sure thats what Jesus would say…..Thats the scripture I believe in….

    76. Little_Mac78 says:

      @Dennis.

You mention “we should expect to see the dead arise 6th May”

I’m writing this on the 7th May and our dearly departed have not made an appearance…

14 days left of Camping’s predictions crumbling.

    77. Dennis says:

I am so sorry we don’t see the dead rising on the 7th. It is just a guess. Maybe it is even the 21 May, when we shall see the rising of the dead, followed by us being dead. Who knows actually, what is going to happen.

But I am sure it shall end end by the 21 May this year.

It is just 2 weeks away to the end.

    78. Why would it not be May 21? Every time God was going to bring destruction He gave a warning. Every time. Jesus is eternal God the Father and Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever Heb 13:8. Knowing this is true, we read that Christ told Adam the time of judgment and death Gen 2:17. He told Noah about the flood Gen 7:4. He told Abraham and Lot about Sodom and Gomorrah Gen 18:17 and 19:12-13. He told Joseph about the famine in Egypt Gen 41:16-32. He told Jonah to warn Nineveh. He told Jeremiah to warn the jews to get out of Judah and Jerusalem because God was going to have Nebuchadnezzar destroy it. So why wouldn’t Christ tell us today when He is coming. God reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets Amos 3:7. God also hides his truth in His Word Proverbs 25:2.

    79. natalina says:

Thanks to everyone who has participated in this discussion. This is precisely what I wanted to see when I wrote the above article.

To Dennis or anyone else who believes sincerely in the May 21 date… I am looking to do a follow up on this post. I want to get it posted in a relatively short amount of time (obvious reasons) but I have a few questions that I cannot find the answers to.

I recall as I researched this article, there was some reference on one of Camping’s sites, or one of his affiliates, that laid out somewhat of a timeline… like this will happen on this date and this will happen on this date… culminating on May 21 and of course ending entirely On Oct. 21. But I can no longer find that anywhere.

Above you mentioned or another poster mentioned something about May 6 or 7? I’m not judging. That’s not my job.. I just wonder if that info originally came from the timeline I saw and could you please point me in that direction? I am aware of all of the URLs of the Family Radio sites etc.. I’m looking for a specific reference point. Most followers of Camping are very well read, so I’m sure you know where I should look.

I’m sure it is out there somewhere and I just cannot find it. Help? Thanks all of you!

    80. To Natalina: Are you thinking of Noah’s flood? That was in 4990BC. In 2Peter 3:4-8 God is telling us about the people scoffing and then the flood came. But for our time the world is reserved for destruction by fire. Then in verse 8 He says a day is as a 1000 years and a thousand years is as a day. So if you go back to Genesis we read that God gave Noah 7 days to get into the ark, but for us today God was giving us 7000 years from the flood to get into the salvation of Christ. It is 7000 years exactly from 4990BC to 2011AD. 4990 + 2011 = 7001. You need to subtract 1 because there is no year 0. By the way the church age ended in 1988 not 1994 and Chris McCann is not with Family Radio. They just air Chris McCann’s Bible teachings sometimes. He is with http://www.ebiblefellowship.com

    81. natalina says:

Thank you NBT. It is particularly interesting to know that McCann is not a spokesperson for Family Radio. I got the impression that he was.

I’ll admit that I still don’t quite understand the mathematics here… or rather, the interpretation. So did it only take Noah 7 years (I shouldn’t say ONLY… 7 years is a long time to work on a boat. That said… it was a big boat) But so what you’re telling me is that the language used in describing Noah’s Ark time frame is actually meant to convey to mankind a coded message about the end of days? That when it says it took Noah 7 days.. the heretofore hidden meaning is that the world would end in 7000 years? I mean… shouldn’t we at least allow for the possibility that isn’t really what He meant? Who are we to presume that we’ve unlocked a secret God code in the Bible? I see my self as a fallible human being with a less than perfect brain… and God made me that way. And I’m good with the way God made me…. but as such, I do not presume to suppose that an unworthy soul (as we all are) such as myself could POSSIBLY say with 100% certainty that THIS is what the Bible means within a particular phrase. Isn’t it really a case of semantics? Or, am I missing something?

I will simply admit that I am worried. For reasons that I’ll lay out in more detail in an article that I’ll post with the hour… I am worried. Not that the world is going to end…..I’m good. I was taught not to live in fear of the end… but to rejoice in the grace of God and his everlasting mercy. To live each day as though tomorrow could be the last… etc etc. But, what I am worried about is the fact that mankind (EVEN HAROLD CAMPING) is fallible. And supposing that there actually isn’t a rapture of souls on May 21… (which I don’t endorse or discount, because as I said.. I do not presume to know) and that Mr. Camping is wrong in his interpretation…. what is to become of those who so fervently believed?? I don’t expect any believers to answer that with anything other than “WE CAN KNOW”… but I am worried. Worried about the dollars they’ve given up… worried about the jobs they may have left or will leave in order to prepare. Worried about the inner crisis that these people will surely face in the event that May 21 is just another glorious day on Planet Earth.

I know that many writers and commentators out there are treating this issue with satire and cynicism. But the closer we get to that day… the more serious I am taking this…. because I know that there is potential for so many sprits to be crushed.

As to my previous comment… what I was referring to is a specific timeline laid out by Camping et. al. about the events that are to IMMEDIATELY precede the May 21 date. I know I read on one of his websites some time about certain signs to be aware of… perhaps earth changes or… like a previous commenter noted that I think the dead were supposed to arise on May 6 or something?? This is the info I’m looking for because it used to be there and for some reason it is gone now or I’m not looking in the right place.

Either way, please look for my new post. Let’s keep this conversation going. I believe it has been an invaluable social exercise, if nothing else.

    82. To Natalina: Coast to coast announced Chris McCann as being with Family Radio but that was a mistake.

As for the Bible being a coded book, I guess we can call it that. God tells in the Bible that He hides his truth in His Word “Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” The words “thing” and “matter” are the same Hebrew word “dabar” which means “word”. Also in “Isaiah 45:15 Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.”

Another verse I found shocking when I first read it was in Mark chapter 4. Jesus was speaking a parable of the sewer that sewed seed on good ground and some on rocky ground and so on. The crowd that were there were just people wanting to hear Him. They were not any more sinners than the apostles, but then Jesus says this in “Mark 4:10-12 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
Mar 4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” Why would Jesus purposefully hide understanding? Because God only gives His full understanding of His Word to those He saves “Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”

It’s true that all human’s are fallible and that’s why we need God to give us understanding of His Bible. As for Noah, God gave Noah 120 years to build the ark. And during this time Noah was warning the world of that day about Judgment Day and no one believed except his wife and three sons and their wives. Then God came to Noah 7 days before the flood started and said in “Genesis 7:4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.” Then in verse 11 we read “In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” May 21, 2011 is also the 17th day of the 2nd month of the Biblical calendar. You can look this up on any Hebrew calendar converter. http://www.hebcal.com/converter/ Iyyar is the Hebrew name of the second month. In the Bible it is called Ziv but the Jewish leaders changed the name to Iyyar. I think it was changed sometime after Jesus.

As for being worried about other people we need to leave that with God. Nobody can convince any one to believe, that’s God’s job. Our job is to spread the Gospel.

About the timeline: On May 21 starting somewhere on the earth, most likely near New Zealand (International Date Line) there will be a great earthquake which will cause the graves to open and the bodies of the saved will rise to meet Christ in the air and be changed and the bodies or what ever is left of the unsaved will lie on the ground as a shameful site in the eyes of God. This event will follow the sunset moving west. So starting lets say in New Zealand, then an hour later it will happen in the next time zone and so on. And it will all happen in a 24 hour period to cover May 21 all over the world. So we in the USA will see the rapture in New Zealand and then the next place and so on.

As for the study you are looking for, I’m not sure where or what it is. You should look on http://www.ebiblefellowship.com They have alot of studies written, audio and video.

    83. Rydal says:

The 5 planets of Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury and Uranus are all located in Pisces during early May.
It is interesting that Pisces according to all the ancient Jewish authorities (Josephus, Abarbanel, Eliezer, and others), has special reference to Israel. Could this be a representation of the Redeemed Multitudes of the spiritual Israel?
The ancient Egyptian name of Pisces, as shown on the Denderah Zodiac, is Pi-cot Orion, or Pisces Hori, which means the fishes of Him that cometh.
I learned from Mr. Camping that the number 5 signifies the atonement or redemption (that is, Christ died to pay for the sins of those who become saved). This is seen, for example, by the half (.5) shekel atonement money which pointed to the atonement. Exodus 30:15 declares: The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls. It is seen by the 5 shekels being a picture of redemption, as demonstrated in Numbers 3:47-48: Thou shalt even take five shekels apiece by the poll, after the shekel of the sanctuary shalt thou take them: (the shekel is twenty gerahs:) And thou shalt give the money, wherewith the odd number of them is to be redeemed, unto Aaron and to his sons.

I don’t know if this really has any importance, but there it is precisely 5 (signifies redemption) planets enter into the constellation of Pisces (the fishes of Him that cometh) this month.

    85. Dennis says:

I think I have to add a little some thing more to what you said. It is true ‘Nobody can convince any one to believe, that’s God’s job.’

If you look closely at the NT of the Bible, you will notice it is a book given to the Jew, with only a couple of things to the world. Also, Jesus did not speak to the world, but to the Jew, only.

The Jew rejected him and so he instituted Christianity – only. All else is the old testament.

Why? Because he was born to Save The Whole World. God had to be born a human – a man. Not one other of the spirit world was ever a man. God is everything then.

The church came into being after about 300 something century. The 11 apostle were the only ones made close to Jesus. Only them.

Before God instituted the world, God contemplated, that the son shall be, the Alpha and the Omega. I believe he contemplated that he shall save the world world, i.e. everything in it. And Then He Created and made the seventh day holy.

    86. David Campese says:

Jesus said that no man knows what day it will occur.

Maybe Harold isn’t a man? Only Harold dropping his trousers will prove it. If he is a man, he is lying. If he is a woman or a hermaphodite, why call himself Harold?

Unless Harold shows his true… err colors, I refuse to believe this.

    87. Moses says:

I think this is a good time to charge rent payments in advanced to those believers who think they can get away with debt. After all, they can’t deny their belief: “You must clear your debts while in Earth.” After May 21, they will awake from their imaginary rapture to heaven, and the real destruction will come upon their pockets.

    88. Jonathan says:

It is truly scary to read the screwed up theology being posted on this board by people who allege to be Christians. I do NOT have the patience to post these long laborious essays to attempt to address all the spaghetti noodles of bad doctrine being posted.

All I can say is that May 22 will come to a world that is still as it was on May 19 – awaiting Jesus to come. And I CANNOT WAIT to see how this group of heretics will explain their ways out of this mess they’ve made.

For those who are seeking the Lord, I say only… search the scriptures for yourselves. Be ye not deceived.

And Dennis, I can only say that your post of May 10, 2011 (2 days ago) at 12:49 am is the most confused and erroneous thing I’ve read in a long, long time. You need to GET AWAY from this Harold Camping heretic and start reasoning for yourself.

Jesus didn’t “institute” Christianity. Christianity is a word made up by a Roman emporer. Jesus “Instituted” the perfect covenant by his shed blood, which was based on the perfect promise to faithful Abraham, which was based on the perfect plan laid before the foundation of the world by almighty God. Jesus didn’t need to “institute” anything. It was done before the world began.

    89. sabit says:

In fact, it is so ridiculous that I must conclude that these fanatics must be proclaiming the end of the world as some form of joke, or for some monetary gain. No one in their right mind would make such a statement publicly because they would always be proven wrong. Like I said, no one “in their right mind”…..

    94. Dennis says:

Just when God was to flood the world, there were one week old babies, one year old babies and there were almost 900 year old men, who were rather ‘good.’ But to God all of mankind was guilty and sinned. Not One From Cain down to the last man we know today, are sinners. Not even one, not even Noah himself.

God chose 8 people and called them good.

      All need salvation.

Even you Jonathan, need salvation. And you shall be salvaged.

I have written a follow up to this article.. and it is not as nice. I apologize to all of you if it comes off very harsh. Especially you, Dennis. My goal is not to insult. But there are a few things I just had to get off of my chest.

    97. Chimaobi says:

I think the bible tells us that nobody knows when the son of man which is Jesus Christ will come. How come this man who says he is a christian is contradicting the word of God. Please i will want the authority’s in the city where he is to hold him until May 21,

    98. Jonathan says:

      Dennis,

what I have against Harold Camping is nothing beyond his false doctrines. I mean, like I said in my very first post up top, Camping doesn’t seem to be knowledgable of the Bible. He seems to be knowledgable of his own doctrines.

It’s nothing unusual. Heresy was cropping up even as Jesus was walking the Earth.

Camping’s theological reasons for his May 21, 2011 doctrine are complex and require a lot of thought, study and cross-referencing. That’s the catch. Most people have to just… trust him on it… because they can’t or won’t do a detailed study of his teaching.

On the other hand, just a simple, rudimentary review of the Bible reveals that Camping isn’t correct. Never mind his deep and involved explanations. You don’t need to waste the time:

The Bible says the antichrist will appear BEFORE the rapture. The Bible says the the first resurrection and rapture are simultaneous events. The Bible explicitly says the first resurrection occurs at the END of the antichrist’s rule over the world.

THEREFORE, it is implicit that the rapture cannot occur on May 21, 2011. If it were true, the antichrist would have appeared at least 7 years ago. And not just that. There’s more that hasn’t happened.

During the antichrist/tribulation period there will be unmistakable signs. A global government and economy. The rebuilding of the Hebrew temple in Jerusalem. An attack against Israel by Russia and a coalition that will result in their destruction. And invasion of North Africa and the Middle East by European armies. An invasion of the middle east by the largest army ever fielded – 200 million men from the Far East (China?) The mass conversion of Muslims to Christianity. The conversion of Israel to Christianity. The greatest Christian revival in history worldwide. The war against Christians by the antichrist. The death of all fish, the death of all animals, extreme suffering and war that kills at least a third of the population. Horrible disfiguring physical symptoms in people.

      And that’s just for starters.

**Update: With only 7 days left until Camping’s “Rapture” date, I’ve written a follow up article that I’d love you to take a look at here: Further Observations on Harold Camping and the May 21 Cult http://extraordinaryintelligence.com/4741/the-unexplained/further-observations-on-harold-camping-and-the-may-21-cult/***

    101. I am very sad for those who have been following this lie that the rapture will occur on May 21st. Even if they attempt to explain away “that no one will know the day or the hour of Christ return”, they cannot explain away that many scholars believe that Christians must go through the Great Tribulation prior to the rapture. I pray that they will take a moment and read my book Final Warning because the hour of is His judgment has come. http://www.revelation-truth.org

    102. Jonathan says:

Today, Camping was expounding on Christ’s 1000 year Millenial Kingdom, as referenced in the final few pages of the book of Revelation. He had to “straighten out” a caller’s misconceptions.

According to Camping, the 1000 year kingdom has already occurred and the Bible speaks of it in past tense only.

      Now that’s interesting.

If you read the book of Revelation, it will plainly give you the idea that FIRST the rapture comes and the second coming AND THEN begins the 1000 year kingdom. A huge city of solid gold with 12 gates made of precious stones descends from heaven to the Mount of Olives and becomes the new dwelling place of believers where they will live with Christ forever. And immediately at the end of that 1000 year period, comes the final judgement of God of the wicked. Comes the destruction of Satan forever. Comes the complete remaking of all of creation from the atomic level on up, in what seems to be the Second Big Bang.

But yet Camping is telling us the rapture hasn’t happened yet. But it will on May 21.

So have I missed something here? Has anyone else seen a giant solid gold cube sitting on the Temple Mount? I haven’t heard that Jesus was ruling the Earth now and people were now living to be hundreds of years old again. Have you? Heck. I didn’t even know the antichrist had died yet. Much less been born.

I feel sad that so many people trust this guy. And this is only one blatant example of the heresies I’ve heard from Camping over the years.

    103. tim says:

I just have to say many people keep referencing Noah’s time and the date of the ark, but how exactly do you know? Simply because Camping said the ark was 7000 years ago? I read all of his literature and watched his videos and there is literally NO explanation from him of how he knows for sure that it was 7000 years. Don’t just brush it off and say the Bible tells us that it’s been exactly that long, show us please! Otherwise maybe you should go ask Camping how he even came up with that idea. I have a ton of other problems about his silly little calculations but I’ll save them for later. I will pray for forgiveness but only because I believe the world can end tomorrow, May 21, or any other day for that matter.

    107. rev. dan hesko says:

Mr. C. has done us a service, sorta, in getting peoples attention about the judgement. The judgementn will come (I don’t believe on may 21), and our hearts and souls must be ready. The Bible message is clear and simple,’repent and be baptised so your sins may be washed away’. In our materialiastic world that’s only intent on the temporal, here and now, we need to be reminded that Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead.People must repent of their sins and embrace Christ by faith. Perhaps all this may 21 hype will turn peoples heads, and may be an opertunity for the church on may 22 and beyond for true evangelization, let’s seize the moment for good.

    108. Dave says:

FOOLS! Your god is NOT coming back on May 21st because MY God, a more powerful, more all-knowing God than your pissy little god of Abraham, has already TRIUMPHED over your god.
My God, whose name I shall reveal on May 22nd,has already intercepted your god and will not allow him to bring his religion of death and destruction to Earth. My God has stopped your god at the border of our blessed universe and turned his cowardly tail in the opposite direction. As I type this message, your god crawls on his belly back to his pathetic little hole at the edge of the universe, where he will spend the rest of eternity watching in impotent awe as my God repairs the damage done by Elohim and his sinful son over the past 2000 years. The proof will be in the failure of your god to make his existence known on May 21st. He WILL NOT come to the rescue of deluded christians the world over. No rapture will take place because my God forbids it. On May 21st you shall see. On May 21st your expectations will be disappointed and on that day, you shall truely know the power of the ONE TRUE GOD.

    109. Dennis says:

There isn’t any more time, so this probably shall be my last post here.

I took HC only thought that 21 May is the 7,000 years from Noah. I did not check how he got that date, but it shall be true for all I know.

I believe that All Shall be forgiven, to all peoples.

I also reiterate that not one person on earth is cleaned of sin, until God does it for all peoples. Not even Cain, Abel, Seth and down to me and you are ever cleaned of sin, yet. Why will He do, so that we live to the 7,000 years? Who know.

Only those who were born from Noah ‘second’ term will live to 120 years. The first term ended about the 6,000 years, but the people lived close to a 1,000 years.

      A reminded from Enoch 31:

6But I cursed ignorance, but what I had blessed previously, those I did not curse, I cursed not man, nor the earth, nor other creatures, but man’s evil fruit, and his works.

    110. natalina says:

Dennis, I want to personally wish you well. I am worried for you and I am troubled more than anything by one statement you just made.

“I took HC only thought that 21 May is the 7,000 years from Noah. I did not check how he got that date, but it shall be true for all I know.”

To me, this means that you are blindly following Harold Camping’s word. You aren’t even certain how he came to the date that he proclaims to be the cornerstone of his timeline that leads to May 21, 2011. I worry for you and what will become of you after May 21.

Please Dennis, I realize the date is too close now to change your mind… but I ask you to be prepared to go easy on yourself after May 21. You are right, all will be forgiven, but there is going to be so much confusion and so many heavy hearts among the believers in this prophecy.

Please be well, Dennis. I’ve enjoyed your contributions to this discussion, and I hope you’ll consider returning if it turns out Camping was wrong.

    111. Mao says:

See you all on the 22nd.

    112. Courtney says:

How are we suppos to know if this thing even happens like they saying it will i mean will we know May 21, 2011 that its going to end? Or do we have to wait till Oct 23, 2011 when they say everyone will be gone? Will we fully know on May 21, 2011 that god is back and the end is near?

    113. Les Henson says:

Has anybody ever considered that if these Christians are correct and happy for Jesus to come back and judge all, that some of us don’t even want to go to such a heaven ( ie. that would allow such judgemental people in it!)

    114. PC says:

Religious fanaticism can be so dangerous, systemic, and restrictive – however, it is easier to judge than to try and understand. Most of the members of the Family Radio ministries et al, seem to come from working class backgrounds, and yet they have made enormous financial sacrifices to contribute to the campaign at hand – e.g., I live in midtown Manhattan, my beloved Sodom, and when I see a caravan of trucks, RVs, and other utility vehicles covered in adverts for this nonsense, it is apparent to me that there is enormous funding behind it all. This means that several children have been denied their college savings (if ever there were any), homes have most likely been sold or doubly mortgaged, and several heads of households have likely left their 9 to 5′s to join the road crusade. The inevitable outcome on May 22nd is that hundreds of families will be left financially destitute and waging child custody battles with Social Services – that is, if they are of sound mind after the intense emotional roller-coaster of losing their entire perception of their being. Speak not of the risks of suicide and other unmentionable outcomes, the very basest of what these people will need is a strong network of support both financial and emotional/psychological. I would hope that those who are close to any of these families, yet outside the problem, would put aside their cynicism and contempt for this foolishness to be rock of support and an anchor to bring them back to reality unscathed. 115. Sarah says:

I’m 18 years old, and this end of the world stuff has always freaked me out. I do believe in God, my mom has always had strong faith and it is just something I grew up with. I attended church when I was a child, but haven’t really since. I’ve tried reading the bible, but I really don’t understand a lot of it. It goes way over my head for the most part. Even though I believe in God, I’m scared. I don’t know what that says about my faith, but I am scared. Is it wrong for me NOT to want Judgement Day? I’m scared to not be able to live my life. I have no doubt in my mind that heaven is a wonderful place – and I hope I will get there when I’m ready, when my time here is done. A lot of you reading this probably think I’m silly, but the fact is I’m 18, I’m scared, and there’s a lot of kids running around right now that are just as terrified as me.

    116. Dennis says:

      Dear Sarah,

I read your letter and realized I left out one most important message. I will do it now.

Remember in John 3, it is said, ‘For God so loved the world, he gave his only son’, blah blah blah.

When we die, and go and live the one thousand years in Judgment, I shall judge myself, you yourself and him himself. God shall not judge me and you and him. And I tell you, you shall be the worse judge. One thousand years?

Anyway, you are unwanted for the present, even if you live a ‘good’ life. The next life shall come in the next couple of days. Be happy, not scared.

Jesus is the one and only one.

      Dennis.

    117. tpetz says:

I think that Harold Camping makes a very compelling case for Jesus’ return on May 21 of this year (in fact, just a few days from now). On my Website – WriteOnNewJersey.com – we have covered this topic in detail and provided what I believe to be a fair and balanced approach, with articles written by those supporting, neutral, and opposed to Mr. Camping’s arguments. Beginning with our seminal article, “Countdown to Judgment” (http://www.writeonnewjersey.com/2010/02/countdown-to-judgment-2/), we have covered this topic for almost 18 months.

While I personally don’t know if Camping is right or not, I am willing to admit the possibility that God has granted insight to someone outside the religious mainstream. While he has ruffled a lot of feathers in the Christian Churches, he has also brought to light the failures of most churches in establishing doctrines that have no Biblical foundation.

The more important question, however, for individuals who consider themselves to be Christian is this: are you ready for Christ’s return? And, if you are a Christian, how do you view an imminent return by Jesus – with joy or trepidation? If the latter, then just how strong is your faith?

    118. Mark says:

The Bible sounds like today’s news

1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Isa 34:1 Come near, ye nations, to hear; and hearken, ye people: let the earth hear, and all that is therein; the world, and all things that come forth of it.
Isa 34:2 For the indignation of the LORD is upon all nations, and his fury upon all their armies: he hath utterly destroyed them, he hath delivered them to the slaughter.
Isa 34:3 Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

Jer 25:31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.
Jer 25:32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.

    119. Pat says:

Matt25:24………For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Matt25:26……..Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Matt25: 36…….But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

IITimothy:7…….For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Let us all be careful to abide in the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit only and not everything that is being announced (false doctrine which could deceive us). Be in tune in the Spirit of Christ and he will quicken us in these deceiving and trying times. Don’t get caught up with these gimmicks. Its the plan of the devil to distract us from the things of Christ.

    120. Jon says:

I’m not sure why everyone’s getting freaked out over all these end of the world predictions. Human beings, even when specifically trained to interpret the signs, can’t even accurately predict the weather five days out. Why would they be able to set a precise date for the end of civilization as we know it thousands of years ago?

Now, as for this Camping guy I personally believe he should be arrested and both he AND his followers should be held accountable for every dollar that’s been wasted on billboards, pamphlets, and vehicles that have been shamefully painted from bumper to bumper in an effort to spread panic over this fraud’s ridiculous prediction. When I think of what else that money could have gone towards cancer research, or feeding children in some impoverished area of the world, or ANY humanitarian cause (You know, like most Christians claim to hold sacred?) it makes me want to vomit in disgust.

    121. JJ says:

I am not familiar with Harold Camping and his followers at all but a recent piece in our local newspaper in South Africa about one of his followers in SA made me curious to find out more. Please excuse if I get any facts wrong but everything I see about this man screams out that he is anything but a man of God. Seems this man that preaches to people to lose their material things is doing exactly the opposite and building up Multi- million dollar empire? These poor poor people who have put their lives on hold to follow this man. He seems to build his “cult” by preying on peoples fears like every other cult leader before him. The truth is not one of us truly understands when and what will happen in the end. But this is not to be exploited. He also seems to paint a very different picture of God as a uncompassionate being ready to punish humanity, this is not the God I know. I fear greatly for his followers tomorrow. I think that they should keep a watch as I feel he is ready to remove himself and his followers from this world anyway he can?
Unfortunately people like Harold Camping make a mockery of christianity and turn people against it

    122. Brian anthropologist says:

Lol Religion! It’s amazing how we are so good at making things up that everyone starts to believe in it. Just like the witch trials, magic, and demons, all created by the human mind. I’ll still be here many years from now. My future ancestors may even know yours in the future. That is, unless humans destroy themselves with religious warfare all for nothing. Look around you and make what you see here and now your heaven. Hopefully mans brain will evolve past the point of stupidity to realize that that you live once, then you die. That’s it! Make the most of it.

And may the “god” you create in your mind have mercy on your soul.

    146. William says:

I am not a follower of Harold Camping or any other religious leader. I am a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have listened and watch the increase of attention Mr. Campings predictions have generated around the world, affecting people of every nation. I am thankful to God that it has made fearful and uncertain people examine their hearts and question where do they stand with God. It does not matter that the predictions were right or wrong! What matters is, this has forced people to decide what they think about “The Judgement Of God.” This has been a great spiritual poll that has been recorded in heaven, people have spoken with there own mouth what they think. It is now on record what you think not just about the messenger, but about the right that God has to judge the world. Every person who can hear the truth and knows the way that the world is going agrees that the end of the sinful wickedness of humanity must come to an end. Every true believer does not care about the date, or the time, because we know we have our eternal life with God! This message of judgement is not for the believer in Jesus Christ it is for the SINNER who is still living separated from the Love of God. Yes this is a Day of Judgement, and Yes the Earthquake has begun! Except this Time it is a spiritual one! The Church better wake up and realize there is a devastating spiritual tsunami of unbelief coming that the spiritually blind cannot see or hear. I pray that you have got your life right with God and are ready for when He calls you into Eternity with Himself, the question is not about Harold Camping being right or wrong about a date or a time, It is this, Jesus said:
Matt. 12:34-37 You snakes! You are evil people, so how can you say anything good? The mouth speaks the things that are in the heart.35 Good people have good things in their hearts, and so they say good things. But evil people have evil in their hearts, so they say evil things.36 And I tell you that on the Judgment Day people will be responsible for every careless thing they have said.37 The words you have said will be used to judge you. Your words will prove you right, and your words will prove you guilty.” Which one are you?

What i dont respect is people putting fear into others extrimists who terrios peoples thoughts into thinking that the whole existence will end. these people are young souls who have not had the time to focus and to adjust as to the vastness and size of what we are up against. shame on this minister he should keep his theroys to himself as he is no better than a scientist with a theroy and no hard core evidence. yes there is a bible but unfortunatly a bible that has been changed and distorted for over 2,000 years. none of us not even the true belivers of christ knows the exact truth..we are all just sitting ducks.

    148. anon says:

Top Ten reasons why May 21 2011-Rapture will not/did not Happen!!

      (1).

Because of the 1844 great disappointment, God promised us he would never use time setting after 1844…

      (2).

Because as most bible scholars already know the bible interprets day/year principles not day/1000 year foibles.

In these verses you can see God is literally saying His day/year principle is appointed (ordained), and He ties it to a specific time, but we don’t see this with His day/1000yrs statement of 2 Peter 3:8.

      (3).

Because Camping and friends fail to realize that the biblical comparison of 1/1000 in 2 peter 3:8 appears to be just an expression used at that time.

Psalms 90:4 “For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.”

Ecclesiastes 7:28 “…one man among a thousand have I found; but a woman among all those have I not found.”

Isaiah 30:17 “One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one;…”

Job 33:23 “If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:”

Deuteronomy 32:30 “How should one chase a thousand,…”

Psalms 84:10 “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand.”

All of these scriptures compare one with one thousand as if it was just an expression used, and not one of these passages tries to signify a definite time period to them.

      (4).

Because it seems that Bro. Camping’s background as an engineer and interest in numbers appears to override the Holy Spirit’s power of being able to impress the truth to his mind. In his own words he has said…

“Because I was an engineer, I was very interested in the numbers. I’d wonder, ‘Why did God put this number in, or that number in?’ It was not a question of unbelief, it was a question of, ‘There must be a reason for it.’ ” (Berton, Justin (1 January 2010). “Biblical scholar’s date for rapture: May 21, 2011″. sfgate.com. http://articles.sfgate.com/2010-01-01/bay-area/17466332_1_east-bay-bay-area-first-time-camping/2.)

“When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, [but] the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” Deuteronomy 18:22
So, it appears that Bro. Camping will only come to a definite conclusion if he can make the numbers make sense, perhaps “presuming” also that God has guided him in making the numbers fit his reasoning’s.

      5).

Because the use of the term “Watch” is misinterpreted to mean look for a specific date, but in reality it simply means to be spiritually “Ready”

Matthew—24:44

Ready (or watch) for what? Ready for May 21 2011? No!!! Why? Because…

“…if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready:..” Matthew 24:43

Still not convinced? Ok, lets ask St. Luke what the term watch means. Everyone knows that Luke generally expresses himself a little better than the other gospels. And he says…..

“And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign [will there be] when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged…[so] that day come upon you unawares. Luke 21:7-8,34
      And Merriam-Webster says heed means…

      : to pay attention
: to give consideration or attention to : mind

NOT, :to look for or search, which is what May 21 2011nist are trying to preach.

      (6).

Because as it appears, unlike the Bereans, I hear many callers taking Mr. Camping at his words, instead of prayerfully studying the bible for themselves.

Acts 17:11 “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

      (7).

Becaause as it appears May 21, 2011 pundits have a simplistic naïve understanding of basic truths.

One Great error is the “End of the Church age” theory, and the downright dangerous if not damnable assertion that God employs Satan to rule over the churches today. Among other scriptures they will use is…

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

I ask you all. Is there in your congregation today of the protestant churches out there, someone who fits this description of these verses? Is he apposing and exalting all that is called or worshipped as God?

But there will come a time when with the union of church and state and the incredible union of protestants and Catholics will so align themselves as to be identified with spiritual Babylon. Then when they attempt to change Gods laws and forbid the buying and selling of those who do not comply, then 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 can be applied.

But God will still have a remnant church who will not follow these apostate churches. The “man of sin” as many bible scholars learned represents Satan through the workings of the Papal power.

“And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws:” Daniel 7:25

This is the papal power (man of sin) controlling all of the apostatizing churches, and changing Gods commands to mans commands.

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.–” Revelation 14:8

Here is shown the complete apostasy (fall) of the joined churches which constitute Babylon. She made all nations drink of the wine when the papal power tries to overthrow Gods commands and replace them with her own (think to change times and laws).

“Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”–Revelation 14:12
Here is Gods true church that have not apostatized with the rest of the world, and obeyed these man made rules.

      (8).

Because the time of trouble (Great Tribulation) has not happened yet.

It appears that according to Camping and company, we are currently in the great tribulation and have been for several years. Folks if you think we are in the time of trouble now, you ain’t seen nothing yet my friends.

“For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” Matthew 24:21

Perhaps the two biggest reasons we are not in the great tribulation yet is that 1. the world-wide decree to honor a false Sabbath has not been enforced yet. 2. The seven last plagues have not and cannot happen yet until after this decree.

“ Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication… And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues…And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God…Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. .. “If any man worship the beast and his image…shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God” (Revelation 14:8, Rev18:4, Rev 7:2-3, Rev 14:9-10 respectively.)

“…she made all nation drink the wine”— This is the result of the world wide decree to honor a false Sabbath that papacy uses with the united churches worldwide(except Gods true church) with equates to Babylon. (see the Ten Commandments to learn what the true Sabbath is).

“…and that ye receive not of her plagues”— These are of course the seven last plagues of Rev 16.

“…till we have sealed…”— This is the seal of the living God(found in the forth Commandment), that God uses to protect His servants from the seven last plagues.

“…worship the beast and his image…shall drink of the wrath of God”— This beast is the Papacy and worshipping it of course will be to worship their man-made Sabbath.

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16-17

This verse is of course talking about the mark of the beast, which no one receives until after the world-wide decree to worship a false Sabbath has been enforced. And of course the order not to buy and sell will be directed towards Gods chosen ones who refuse to honor this false Sabbath.

None of these events to take place have even come close to happening; that is in relation to the May 21 2011 deadline.

      (9.)

      Because of Gods mercy.

May 21 2011 pundits have claimed that it is because of Gods mercy that he has revealed this date. I would like to contend just the opposite.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.– 2 Peter 3:9
It is because of Gods wonderful mercy that he has not set his return to May 21, 2011. Think of how many would not be ready, especially seeing they can find no evidence for this date.

      (10.)

      Because of Revelation 22:18-19

“If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:..And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city,”… Rev 22:18-19

Any time anyone preaches something like, the bible teaches that one day equals one thousand days and tries to apply it to other scriptures is literally adding to God words something that God never intended to be added.

And conversely anyone who preaches something like the bible saying of “no one knows the day or the hour” only applied during the church age, is literally taking away from Gods word, words that He never meant to be taken away.

Pleeaasse prayerfully with an open mind consider these things. May the Holy Spirit guide you to all truth.
