Rush Limbaugh Pokes Fun at Suffering North Dakotans

Rush Limbaugh, never one to miss an opportunity to be utterly vile, has now used the flooding in North Dakota to crack “dike” jokes.

View the video below for audio of his offensive comments:

While Rush has his fun at our expense, the waters continue to rise.  And yes, we have a system of dikes that are designed to hold the water back.  This is not a slang term or a made up word.  It is a technical term for the Dutch style system of flood walls and levees that have been built up around our communities to protect us from the occasional deluge.

I am so utterly offended by Rush’s off collar comments, my blood is boiling.  People are losing their homes.  Lives are in danger.  Hospitals are being evacuated.

How dare he use this very real disaster to spread his hate!

Normally, I like to stay away from left or right politics on this site, but I think we can all agree that no matter what side of the aisle you find yourself on politically, this type of behavior is disgusting, hurtful, and cruel.

Shame on you, Rush.  Not that we’d expect anything less from you.

lighten up. rush is an entertainer. -it’s his job. some people make light of a bad situation to cope with it, others because they have a dark sense of humour, still others simply because that’s how comedy/humour works.

why dont you just revel in the fact that Rush sounds like an idiot because he’s applying lesbian slang “dyke” for the old dutch or english term “dīk”.

like all entertainers, not all his
      jokes are funny.

some idiot (most likely a lawyer)
saw the political & monetary profit in turning the world into a bunch of thin skinned, politically correct lemmings
-which in just a few short decades, it has turned anyone brainwashed by TV or Mainstream Media into a over-sensitive, knee-jerk moron.

what happen to “sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never harm me” ?

do yourself a favor, turn off your TV.
i guarantee within a few months you will start thinking “clearly” again.

-and lighten up. in case you’ve forgotten, one of the hallmarks of comedy and humour is making light of tragic situations..

no need diminishing your blog by
      perpetrating political crap.

I can appreciate what you are saying about dark humor, and I rarely give Rush or people like him the time of day.

However, being smack in the middle of this particular flood, I find his lack of compassion is troubling. Not so much because of him, but because people listen to him. A LOT of people.

I am not in the business of political commentary, and I am not particularly susceptible to the media’s desire to polarize people into two separate camps. This comment of his hit me a bit below the belt, and I felt compelled to share my feelings on the topic.

Understand, its really his sophomoric attempt at a dirty joke that irks me, it is his overall demeanor while many people who pay his damn bills (very conservative up here) are suffering.

I don’t mean to be overly defensive, I just took a little offense to the notion that I am somehow a George Soros/Left wing mouthpiece drone because I felt the need to express my distaste for this specific incident.

Perhaps the fact that there is a dike right outside my front door that happens to be leaking at the moment has left me a little thin skinned.

      hello, i’m back..

      -point taken.

lol..glad to know your not a George Soros mouthpiece.

i hope the flood spared you.

-Rush gets too much play by the left, imo. if they had a clue they would just ignore him.

-alas, all our politicians work for
the same higher-ups, so they’re always looking for something completely meaningless to distract you, i and the public with while they further agendas that have very little to do with us.

-i did not mean to make you feel defensive. my apologies.

i guess what i was trying to convey is..
..life is too rich and has too much to offer to ever allow any form of media to ever get under your skin or stress you in any way.

media is just a propaganda tool designed
to make you miserable and then offer
you a anecdotal solutions for just three easy payments of $29.95.

turn it off and enjoy the people around you. you’ll live a lot longer and happier for it.

for those times when it seems unavoidable, walk away with the
best parts and throw away the rest.

-just never allow it to give you a gray hair, -that’s what kids are for :)

great website, keep up the good work!

      cheers!
