Zecharia Sitchin Stakes Everything on Ancient DNA

I’ve noticed that in recent months, there has been a renewed interest in Ancient Astronaut theories, once relegated to the tinfoil hat wearing crowd. (In other words, MY people!) With the History Channel’s repeated exploration of the topic, a groundswell of fascination has been buzzing through the air.
Recently I posed a question to a friend on this very topic. I wondered if people like Zecharia Sitchin (Earth Chronicles Series) and Erich von Däniken (Chariots of the Gods) felt vindicated by the latest excitement, or if perhaps there was some part of them… deep down… that said, “But I was talking about this stuff in the 70′s, you brats!”

Alan Boyle of MSNBC.COM’s Cosmic Log, recently spoke with Zecharia Sitchin about his claims that an ancient Queen may hold secrets in her DNA about Ancient Astronauts, and perhaps even human origin. He’s so convinced, in fact, that he says he is willing to stake EVERYTHING he’s written about alien visitors on DNA tests that could be performed on the 4,500-year-old remains of a high-ranking Sumerian woman.
When asked what happens if DNA tests show nothing unusual, Sitchin says, “Then I will look foolish. I’m really risking my life’s work on this outcome.”
The Sumerian Queen in question is Queen Puabi. Her remains were discovered and uncovered during the 1920′s and 30′s in Iraq. According to the information revealed by the London Museum of Natural History, Puabi was about 40 years old when she died, and since she was discovered with no mention of her husband, she probably reigned as queen in her own right during the First Dynasty of Ur.
This headdress of Queen Puabi is currently on display in the Ur Gallery on the third floor of the University of Pennsylvania Museum.
Sitchin is convinced that she was a “nin”, or goddess. He believes that she was actually a demi-god, and shared genetics with visitors from the planet Nibiru (The 12th Planet). Essentially, that she is related to the Sumerian Anunnaki, the main players in Sitchin’s works.
“Maybe by comparing her genome with ours, we would find out what are those missing genes that they deliberately did not give us,” he told Boyle. “Maybe. I cannot guarantee that, but maybe.”

And here is a great little video of the Penn Museum exhibit team, in which Conservator Lynn Grant, and Near East Section Keeper Katy Blanchard assemble Queen Puabi as she may have appeared nearly 5,000 years ago.

I heard from a website on earth changes, and as well from news reports aboyt 10 yrs ago, that Nibiru is entering our solar system and causing changes. It may be. Now some real news. In India about 5 yrs ago, I learned Assyrian/Sumerian magic from documents I downloaded and after 3 months, I saw two figures. One I identified immediately as Marduk. tall, bearded, wearing a crown like in his etchings. The other was either Ishtar or Puabi and she looked at me passionately. She has stayed! We are in love! Am I mad? As the barber said of Quixote in Man of la Mancha, ‘madmen are the children of God!”
