E.I. Video: Wildlife Suffering in Gulf Oil Crisis

The tragic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico has had me in such emotional distress. My heart has been through the gamut. I fluctuate from intense anger to utter sorrow. I’ve read all of the news stories and the endless blogs, and I’ve wanted to write more myself.. but what to say that hasn’t already been said?

Certainly there are more questions than answers. How could this have happened? Where was the President for the first month and a half of this ongoing chaos? Why did Goldman Sachs sell 44% of its shares in BP well BEFORE the Deepwater Horizon disaster? When will it end? Will it end?
As I consider all of these questions, my mind continues to go back to the terrible images of the wildlife suffering in the muck that was once their habitat. I weep for the Brown Pelican who is saturated in toxic sludge; unable to move.. unable to breathe. My heart breaks for the fisherman and his uncertain future. And for all those who are now becoming ill from exposure to the poisonous, carcinogenic, deadly fumes emitted by the spill.
I cannot articulate how this has impacted me. Words fail. I decided to make a video to release some of the grief, as the images truly do say far more than any linguistic descriptor could achieve.

*Addendum* Our friend Micky has written a tribute to his beloved friend the sea. Living in Florida, he is witnessing first had the devastation caused by the Oil Spill tragedy. I wanted to share his moving words and his personal images.

….you have brought me enjoyment,taught me and I have worked along side of you for many years

…you have comforted me thru many sleepless nights and been there to
put a smile on my face countless times as the sun rose upon your
majestic body

…..you are the same faceless friend to millions of people
….you have been the womb and playground alike to so many species and have ALWAYS been neutral in doing so
….when you have shown the fury that you possess,those who have
witnessed the anger have learned yet another BEAUTIFUL lesson in life
It sickens me to know that,although you show no signs of illness in my
presence as of yet,the plague within you is growing to a point you will
never recover(at least not in my lifetime)
…PLEASE KNOW,that if I could make it go away~I WOULD!!!!I swear that to you!!
I do believe that one day,you will recover to whatever extent and I hope you flourish in your true GLORY!!
and even tho I work with you daily (and probably will for a short period of time to come)….YOU,my friend will be missed~

Aaron, I know that you are such a defender of all living things and that your heart is breaking… and Micky, you live and work right there in the eye of the terrible storm. The Ocean is your friend and your livelihood. I am in no way offended that you posted the video dear. I am honored.
Every article gives different stories and amounts, and as this is a wild rushing gusher, spewing phenomenal amounts of chemicals into the Gulf of Mexico, I expect there is no way to accurately measure the amount.
Earlier on Friday, BP’s chief operating officer Doug Suttles said the containment cap “should work” by capturing at least 90% of the gushing oil.
Hummm 90% is what amount… is that the down played amount being touted by BP or the much higher estimate of the US government?
Whatever the REAL facts, it remains that this LMRP is only a band aid solution, temporary, until the hoped for two relief wells are complete and functioning.

Mike, this is an amazing piece..Made me and Heidi cry like babies..
This is just so sad for everyone all around our country, not to mention the world….The millions of people that will never get to visit the Gulf of Mexico and experience the amazing body of work it is, well, is just sad..
I have a personal, selfish feeling of anger because I wanted to take my children to a place that I have visited many times..
LUCKILY
I have fished, boated, rode on jet skis, played with dolphins, swam, walked on the beach as the sun came up and many other things on Florida Beaches..I will never forget the beauty we are all losing..

I would like to share my thoughts with you guys…
Something about this thing we call Planet Earth is very unique..It is literally a living planet and filled with resources…Those resources provide us with the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat..Those resources make this planet habitable..
But we took a bad turn, long ago, when we bypassed known alternatives to oil, long before big oil was around. Nikola Tesla invented free energy in 1898. We allowed the oil companies to come in and make us 100% dependent on oil…I mean literally, oil is almost every part of our life…
My question is how much oil and coal(earths resources) can we extract before we make this just another lifeless planet in our solar system..What happens when you rip the insides of our planet out? You leave huge, empty pockets, all around the globe. We are asking for a Extinction Level Event if we stay on course…
Soon enough we will just be another planet rotating around the sun with such extreme conditions that it will no longer support life…
Does anyone know, there are 1000s of Oil Rigs drilling in the Gulf of Mexico??
Does anyone know big oil pulls in 400 billion dollars per year, PROFIT?
We cant depend on the BIG OIL companies to be in charge of research and development into new cheaper, safer energy…What is their motivation..??
Its time we all need to step up and do our part..
Demand an alternative, one that doesnt hurt the planet that provides us with life. One that doesnt take lives in an accident. On that doesnt take millions of jobs away…One that doesnt kill massive amounts of our wildlife. One that doesnt pollute our air. One that doesnt pollute our drinking water. One that doesnt ruin our seas..And this could go on and on and on and on..

He has published numerous books on Peak Oil…He says we are running out of oil and wants oil to be 400-600 dollars per barrel..For one, we dont need oil, for two he is a liar, there is PLENTY of oil on earth..
Anyway, he comes out and says BP(fellow Bilderberg member) is lying, there is 100,000-250,000 barrel of oil per day and there is a leak from the seafloor miles away…
He then went on Bloomberg and said Obama should kick BP(fellow Bilderberg member) out of the Gulf, bring in the military and nuke the leak shut…
Now with this leak, 5000:1 methane to oil is being released with no restriction. This drastically increases the possibility of a seafloor collapse..A nuke or any explosive makes that almost certain..
