Extraordinary Videos: First Family of Satanism

For today’s installment of Extraordinary Videos, I’m posting an interview that took place between Evangelical Preacher/Exorcist/Charismatic Televangelist Pastor Bob Larson and the children of Anton Lavey.
As you likely know, Anton Szandor LaVey was the American founder and High Priest of the Church of Satan. He was also a writer, a musician, and a provocateur.
His daughter, Zeena LaVey and her husband Nikolas Schreck, agreed to appear with Pastor Larson and engage in a discussion about Satanism. This interview/debate is rather old, but I found it quite interesting.The interview itself is hosted by Larson and his program, so the intro and the conclusion feature his ultimate determination. These videos are not posted with the intent of promoting a specific side of the debate. I have my opinions about who presented a more compelling argument… but I’d like to hear yours.

I thought this was interesting but at the same time ridiculous. Bob Larson, The interviewer, is extreamely one sided and what can be best described as an ignorant preacher to the masses. He is not acceptant of any other view aside from his own. He only recited passeges from both bibles that were signifocant to his claims and statements, when confronted by the Santanists to also be allowed to recite passages from both texts he hastily declined as he knew that there is much in the christian bible as well as the satanic bible that would make his argument a failed argunment. It is despicable that an individual can be so against another person’s perception on life. As an athiest I do not believe or worship any greater deity but do believe that anybody who so wishes to, should have the right. I respect the calmness which was presented by the Sanatanists, they were provoked on many levels to retaliate unnecessarilly to Larson’s hatred towards them, but they managed to remain calm, and respond to his accusations in a peacefull manner, something that most individuals would not have the tollerence to do. This has changed my whole perception of satanism, at first i truely believed what most in the world believed about this religeon but now i know better, i know what sanatanism truely attempts to represent. It has had no affect on what I choose to believe, i will forever remain an athiest, but i do now have more respect and appreciation for satanist culture.
Nikolas Schreck is not Anton LaVey’s child, but Zeena LaVey’s husband.
