There are a number of boats on the lock, some are stationary and some are moving. All are more distinctive and clearly form the shape of a boat. Of those boats that are moving you will notice a propeller wash which is quite distinctive and some distance behind the boat. You can use Google to examine these. On the image in questions there is “no” propeller wash? It is also strange that the wash from this object seems to emanate from the extensions or would be limbs? Finally, of all the shapes this could form could take is it not strange how this object has four appendages, a large bulk of a body and what seems to be a neck or tail?

lat 57″10’08.00 N lon 4″37’53.59 W there s a boat there smaller but kind of the same wake lines. i think there is something living there but just like the big foot, ogopogo a fully in tacked body will need to be found. kind of a heart stopper when checked it out for myself.

On further inspection of the photo, maybe the wrong thing is circled. If the circled object is a boat…which it very possibly may be…what’s that coming toward, or going away from it…down and to the left?

Will, you’re breaking my heart! I missed C2C last night, but I wondered if they’d address the photo.

I’ve heard the theory about Nessie being an eel. Screw that! Nessie is a relic of the Jurassic era, forgotten by time, destined to swim the channels of Loch Ness…a fugitive of prehistoric proportions…a benevolent creature just trying to survive in this modern world of disbelievers. Shun the non believers! I think Nessie might also grant wishes. At least that’s what I heard

My first thought when I saw it last night was squid.

Hate to burst your bubble babe, but it’s more than likely a boat. At least according to Steve Alten last night on C2C. Alten also contends that Nessie is more likely to be a giant eel than the romanticized plesiosaur.

I haven’t made up my mind yet, however, I do belive that something is out there.

Rebecca, the very first thing I thought when I saw this was… It’s a SQUID! I kid you not. Contrary to what many people believe, Loch Ness is not landlocked. It is connected to the Atlantic from both ends. A series of canals and locks connect Loch Ness from the Atlantic to the west but going east from Loch Ness there is several miles of river that join the sea at Inverness.

Salmon, trout, eels, seals and many other animals make their way up the spillway, and predatory animals tend to follow. Sometimes during wicked weather or extreme high tides, very large creatures including small to moderate sized whales wash into the Loch.

I would imagine it very possible that a Squid could work it’s way into Loch Ness,not to mention any number of other crazy creatures.

Oh I know you want to believe but it looks exactly like a boat with a wake behind it. Someone was just having a nice cruise around the loch
