Renegade Angels: “Legion” Red Band Trailer

I’m not in the movie reviewing or previewing business.  I leave that to the experts.  But every so often a film comes along that looks like it might appeal to my readers, and Legion appears to be one of those movies.

According to the official web site:

When God loses Faith in Mankind, He sends His legion of Angels to bring on the Apocalypse.  Humanity’s only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner and the Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany).

I’d never heard of this film.  I knew nothing about it.  When a friend sent me a link to the trailer, his email simply said, “Nat, saw this trailer today.  Thought of you right away. This trailer will give you goosebumps. Movie is called Legion.  It’s a total Natalina movie.”

Obviously, that intrigued me.  When I first read the title, I instantly thought of the phenomenal book Legion by William Peter Blatty (Author of The Exorcist).  I am Legion, for we are Many…. Blatty’s finest work, in my view.  Unfortunately, this movie has nothing to do with the Blatty book, but it does look pretty intense.  I love the whole mythology of Angels and Seraphim and Archangels, etc.  Take a look.  A wee heads up, this is a Red Band (Restricted) trailer.

We’ll have to wait until early 2010 for this one.  It doesn’t hit theaters until January.

Have you seen the move ‘Gabriel’? I keep meaning to because I work with a guy that starred in it but keep forgetting about it. This just reminded me that I should take a look at it if only to see one of my colleagues as a bad-ass evil dude ;)

I have seen that movie Cheryl…I rented it a while back based on nothing but a cool looking DVD cover. It wasn’t bad actually. I thought of that one as soon as I saw this trailer.
